It was designed in collaboration with both Israeli and U.S. Special Forces to solve all comfort and functionality issues with load-bearing cummerbunds. Most hangers are too long, flapping and dangling under your belt line and hindering your movement. The geometry of the Six pack has been optimized to have the same storage capacity, but to be much more compact and not get in the way. Plate carrier hanger pouches make sense because they sit in a very accessible place on your kit, but many have top zippers that make it difficult to see what's inside.
