These teams operate in an environment where there are many penetrating traumas, and most (two-thirds) of avoidable deaths in the operational environment result from bleeding at the extremities. The SWAT-T™ Tourniquet provides a faster way to control extremity bleeding and can be placed higher in the groin and axilla than other tourniquets. The ease of use is one of the biggest advantages; people can apply it effectively in seconds with little to no prior training. For a third of the cost and weight of other turnstiles, this turnstile should find its way forward with any tactical operator. The SWAT-T™ Black model is made with a black color for use in tactical environments. The instructions for use are printed on the turnstile, along with the trademark of the printing application indicating how much pressure must be applied to achieve occlusion.
