An effective, simple and reliable two-point sling, originally designed for a special military customer of ours. The LW (lightweight) Griffin Sling is simple and unobtrusive, made of 25mm/1" webbing without any padding, for submachine guns and light rifles. Check out the MW if you want a little width and padding, or the HW if you need a good thick filling. QUICK ADJUSTMENT SLIDER The heart of the Griffin Sling is our patented slider for quick adjustment. Quick, effortless adjustment allows for an easy transition between carry-shoot-carry etc. under any circumstances. We know the world is full of buckles for adjusting slings, and most of them are pretty good too. We chose to design our own customization hardware for these simple reasons: 1) It must be solid metal with no moving parts 2) It must have the right toothing and protrusions to grip; 3) It must be compatible with the grip lip for use with winter handwear; 4) And it should preferably be made in Finland If you hate the tab of the webbing grip, or just don't need it or whatever, you can cut it off. The serrated sides and the protruding attachment point of the webbing provide good grip. INSTALLATION Since this is a simple two-point sling, you don't have to play with multiple ends of the webbing, only two. The 25mm/1" strap fits most sling swivels and fasteners out there. We make these with long enough woven ends to reach around most people. 1. Open the back loop by passing the woven end through the steel tri-glide buckle. Loop the belt through the sling-swivel, buckle, stock, or whatever attachment point you use on the back of your firearm. Thread the fabric through the buckle again and make a U-turn to lock it in place. 2. Open the front quick adjustment loop and remove the steel tri-glide from the tire. Loop the webbing through your front sling-swivel or buckle, reattach the steel tri-glide and loop the strap around the quick adjustment slider and back through the steel tri-glide. 3. Try to play around with different adjustment lengths on the front and back. Once you've found the right setting, you can roll up the excess webbing ends and stick them in neat bundles. Or, if you dare, cut and burn them. ORIGIN The Griffin Slings are the commercial offspring of a series of slings that we have designed for a military customer according to their requirements. Our customer needed good two-point tires for all types of small arms, including sniper rifles and light machine guns. The slings should carry an unpleasant weight as comfortably as possible, be equipped with a forward pulling force to be able to be extended quickly, fit on different fasteners and must be effective and reliable in "suboptimal conditions" (it is -30 °C, you suffer from sleep deprivation and wearing thick winter gloves and the use of NVGs that ruin your view of everything within arm's length). Then we went on to design the lighter medium version for carbines, and the lightweight one for SMG:s and the like. Because these turned out pretty well, we decided to make them available to the public. So, here you go: the Griffin Slings — fairly fast, low-bullshit slings, named after that mythical half-bird-half-cat creature for some peculiar reason. INSTRUCTIONS - READ BEFORE USE! We recommend two to four people to set up the Hiisi 2. You need a hammer or something similar to hit the poles in the ground. We recommend using a sauna thermometer up to 100°C to prevent overheating and help you get the perfect temperature. 1. Find a suitable flat spot approx. 3.5 x 3.5 m, beware of dangers:- Dry grass and undergrowth, trees and branches (fire hazard).
- Uneven surface (stove or users may stumble and fall).
- Hammer a pole into the ground approx. 140/160 cm (wall height) from the corner.
- Attach the corner guy line with a reliable knot to the pole.
- Repeat until all the corners are in place and each shaving cord is fastened to the ground.
- The thermometer should hang 140 cm above the ground.
- Savotta sauna tents are not designed for long-term stationary use and must be disassembled, cleaned, dried and stored indoors between uses. Sunlight will damage the substances over time. If you leave a tent upright for a few months, it will damage and any damage resulting from this type of abuse is not covered by our warranty.
- To prevent damage to the tent from falling sparks, the chimney top should protrude 100 cm above the chimney gate. We recommend burning hardwood to minimize the risk of sparks.
- Although the fabrics are fire retardant and self-extinguishing, they are not refractory - sparks and flames will damage the substance and burn holes in the fabric. Heater-heated tents will suffer from burnt holes due to sparks that touch the fabric during normal use. This is normal wear and tear and can be easily repaired if necessary. Our warranty does not cover fire damage due to normal or incorrect use.
- Only use stones intended for sauna use. Improper stones, when heated, can crack and cause injuries from flying shrapnel.
- Sparks and heat from the stove can set fire to combustible material nearby, easily remove combustible material in and near the tent before use.
- Always keep a large bucket of water or a fire extinguisher within seconds range of the tent when the stove is hot, be prepared to put out any fire!
- The stove and stones are extremely hot when heated and can cause injuries when touched!
- After use, inspect the soil for any hot embers and extinguish it with water.

RAIN COVER XL A good waterproof rain cover for larger backpacks (approx. 80-100 liters), such as the Jääkäri XL. Made from strong and waterproof PU-coated 70D polyamide ripstop material. A strong, adjustable elastic cord runs along the edge of the cover and ensures a good fit over packages of different sizes. LIGHT BORDER PATROL Known in Finnish as the Kevyt Rajapartio, originally designed for the Finnish border guard. Capacity approx. 25 l. Compact, simple and versatile. Due to its slim shape, the backpack will not get in the way even in tight spaces and is ideal for skiing and hunting. In its size category, the Kevyt Rajapartio is an unusually sturdy backpack to carry. The internal support frame reinforced with aluminum keeps the backpack firmly in shape, even with a heavy load. With the compression straps of the bag, even a pack that is not full can be fastened so that it sits firmly and does not move back and forth. Compartments The bag (dimensions approximately 50 x 25 x 10–20 cm) is closed by tightening the opening of the drawstring, which is secured with a waterproof protective collar that also allows overpackaging. The opening is covered with a flap that encloses the top of the backpack and is fastened with straps. The generous length of the straps offers plenty of space under the flap to overpack. The contents of the upper compartment are also quickly accessed from the right side via a vertical zipper that runs over the full height of the backpack. SUPPORT SYSTEM The wide, anatomically shaped, sturdy shoulder straps and the well-padded hip belt ensure supported and comfortable wearing. The hip belt buckle can be quickly detached with one hand, which is a very valuable feature in a possible emergency. The nodded chest strap provides extra comfort and support when wearing. With the support handle on the top, the backpack is also easy to carry by hand. The back is reinforced with a very durable plastic plate frame on which two vertical aluminum rods are attached with rivets. This lightweight frame keeps the backpack upright and is comfortable to carry, even with a slightly heavier load. The support frame can also be removed from the backpack if desired. The generously sized and sturdy cushions against the back are a rarity in a backpack of this category and make the Kevyt Rajapartio a surprisingly comfortable little backpack to carry. Savotta Chair Rucksack 360 is a classical stool rucksack, which suits excellently for an ice fisher, a hunter or a hiker. Compact waist bag with versatile internal organization and external attachment points. Waist bags are already very versatile, but the Kukkaro is even more so thanks to the many ways you can customize it to suit your specific needs. On the inside, the bag has a number of options for organizing your belongings: elastic webbing loops of different sizes, flat pockets, tie-down loops and a loop surface for attaching organizers with hooks. The back wall has a large flat compartment for larger items. On top of the compartment is sewn a single row of 50 mm elastic webbing, which contains two smaller approx. 4 cm wide loops and a larger approx. 9 cm wide loop, suitable for small items such as multi-tools, lighters etc. The front wall has two small flat compartments with attachment loops at the top. A versatile helmet cover with the right camouflage attachment cords throughout. Designed around the geometry of the Ops Core FAST XP high cut helmet shell, but also fits many other high cut helmets. The world is full of covers for high-cut helmets, but since 99% of these covers don't offer a real way to properly camouflage the helmet with foliage etc., we decided to unleash our offer on those as well. Made of 500D Cordura instead of regular garment fabric for high abrasion resistance. Unlike most high-cut helmet covers, which only have that zigzag cord at the top, our cover has elastic cord attachment points around the helmet shell. This allows you to camouflage your helmet well with foliage and the like. Because the elastic cord is not sewn to the cover, you can choose not to use it at all or to adjust or replace it as needed. The back of the case features a piece of 25mm webbing, with bartacked mounting points for IR strobes and the like. Really nothing special, but exactly what you need for a side pocket on your backpack. The zipper is covered for extra water repellency and protection against wear and dirt. The vertical webbings on the front keep the compression straps of your backpack neatly in place over the pouch, so that they can also compress the pouch well. These can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners, and things like that. A 25 mm webbing loop and D-ring on the top of the rear inner wall make it possible to secure small and important items, the flat rear compartment provides rudimentary organization for smaller items. The bottom and the lower half of the sides are lined with 210D polyamide for extra wear resistance. A through-through opening allows for the drainage of water that could seep into the bag. The back is equipped with our standard PALS fastening web belt system with folding tabs. The middle horizontal rows were omitted because they didn't really do anything other than add weight. We are not a manufacturer of ultra-light stuff, but even we do not like unnecessary weight. The two vertical fastening straps leave an approx. 9 cm wide gap, so you can carry items such as axes, fishing sticks, etc. behind the pouch. Optimal attachment requires a width of four channels and a height of six (min. five) rows of PALS webbing. The compression straps on the side of the backpack, when put on, will prevent any movement of the backpack and its contents. The 6-litre side bag fits all our Jääkäri backpacks. For backpacks with less than six rows of PALS webbing on the sides, the bottom of the bag "hangs". You can have this absorbed by the compression straps on the sides, or you can choose to attach the pouch one step higher to the side of the backpack. Examples of use With an eight-liter capacity, this is clearly a larger side bag, which is perhaps best used on large and high backpacks of 60-100+ liters. While carrying the backpack, the foam filling with closed cells on the inside of the lid provides a basic level of comfort against your back, even if you carry annoying mess in the bag. When a backpack with a bag like this should be as uncomfortable as possible, let's face it - this will never be as comfortable as a real backpack. Instead of building our bags with unergonomic, too long handles that also serve as shoulder straps, we've decided to make this a separate option for those who really need it, so we can build each carrying option in the right way for the intended feature. MILITARY GRADE MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION The bags from the Keikka series are made to last. The carrier handles are made of a single length of 50 mm wide band that wraps around the bottom of the bag, sandwiched between two layers of 1000D Cordura. Stress points are reinforced with double stitching and seams are finished with binding tape to prevent fraying. All carrier buckps are made of steel and are likely to last longer than the rest of the bag. Most of the materials we use for our commercial production are the same ones we use in equipment for the Finnish Armed Forces and other defence and security customers. Our most commonly used fabric in load carriers is extremely wear-resistant 1000D Cordura, according to FDF specifications, with polyurethane coating on the inside. The webbing and edge band we use are, again according to the FDF specifications, strong polyester band in different widths and thicknesses for different applications. Our green and M05 camouflage materials and accessories meet the strict FDF specifications for NIR reflection levels as they should be, as the same materials are used in official military equipment. PROPER RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION We manufacture the vast majority of our products ourselves in our own factories in Karstula, Finland and Tartu, Estonia. Product development and special production phases such as laser cutting and metalworking take place in our main facility in Finland, the cutting and sewing of textiles takes place both in Finland and in Estonia. Here at Savotta we do not dream of low labour costs, but we work constantly hard to keep the production in our own hands! This backpack is designed to carry extremely heavy loads, just as its military predecessors have been since the early 1980s. With the roll top at the top, the zipper at the bottom and a drawstring distributor on the inside, you can use the main pocket in any way you want. By opening the distributor, the main pocket turns into a huge hollow space, allowing you to pack very large and long items. The zipper at the bottom provides quick access to all the gear you need most during the day, while the roll top provides weatherproof protection for most of your gear. The lower zippered compartment features elastic compression straps on the inside and four small mesh pockets to organize your gear. A zippered pocket on the inside of the lid provides secure storage for your wallet, keys, travel documents and phone. The roll closure, the floating lid and the compression straps on the side offer a wide range of adaptability to the volume of the backpack. Fasten it tightly or loosen it, depending on the load carried. The compression straps ensure that additional equipment can be attached to the outside of the backpack if necessary. The external LJK tubular aluminium frame ensures that the backpack does not hang and transfers the weight of the backpack to your hips, even when loaded with heavy and cumbersome load. Both the shoulder harness and the lap belt are generously filled with thermoformed foam filling with closed cells. The shoulder harness is S-shaped and has a detachable chest strap. The forward pull setting on the lap belt is easy to put on even under load. The buckle on the side provides quick and easy opening when needed. The high LJK frame offers good lifting possibilities. LJK MODULAR A modular, heavy-duty backpack with external frame, designed for the Finnish Armed Forces in 2008. Capacity approx. 80 l. The modular LJK is designed to meet the needs of the armed forces for a modern military backpack. The characteristics and details are well thought out according to the needs of the 21st century without compromising durability and reliability in extremely heavy military use. The backpack can be customized to your needs with separate pockets and numerous attachment points. There's not much left of the old LJK backpack, except for the name, external frame design and a construction that can withstand pretty much anything. The compartments and structure of the entire backpack have been completely redesigned. The end result is more practical than before and considerably more versatile. The modular LJK has also proved to be a functional and reliable carrier when used by the Finnish armed forces and the Finnish border guard. A traditional backpack with external frame is at its best with a heavy load, but is also suitable for lighter trips. The external tube frame ensures air circulation between the pocket itself and the user's back, significantly reducing the heat load. Although anatomical backpacks have taken over some grass in the backpack market, there are still situations where nothing is better than an external frame backpack. Compartments The upper compartment of the bag (dimensions about 50 x 35 x 25 cm) is closed by attaching the opening of the drawstring, which is secured with a waterproof protective collar that also allows overpackaging. The opening is first covered with a attached straps and is then covered with a generous flap that is secured with buckle closures. The straps are long enough to wear, for example, a sleeping bag or mat under the flap. In addition to the buckles on the straps, there are spare metal buckles under the valve in the event of a worst case scenario. The top and lower compartments of the bag are separated by an intermediate shot that can open, allowing the whole bag to be changed to one large compartment if desired. In the upper compartment there is a mesh bag for small items. The pouch can also contain a wide hydration bladder and on each top corner of the backpack are exhausts for the hoses. The bottom compartment of the bag (dimensions approximately 35 x 35 x 25 cm) is closed with a two-way zipper that is secured with two buckles. The buckles should always be fastened because they take away some of the weight and strain the zippers. The side pockets (dimensions approximately 30 x 17 x 11 cm) open from the top with long zippers. The side compartments are removable and can be attached to the sides or back of the backpack at the necessary height. They can also be completely omitted if desired. The bags are attached to the backpack with MOLLE girders used in military equipment. It is a very simple, durable and reliable attachment method. OTHER ANCHORAGES There is a generous number of fastening loops on top of the valve and in the main compartment. This makes it possible to secure even large loads (such as the beloved Sissi tent) on or under the valve by means of detachable tires. The loops on the inside of the flap are perfect for attaching a sleeping mat. Especially a military-style tent mattress can be attached to this by means of the elastic bands. There are several belt loops on the sides and back of the backpack that can be attached to various essentials with detachable straps. The backpack comes with four two-piece buckles that can be moved freely between the backpack's attachment points. By default, they are used to strengthen the attachment of the side boxes. There is a lot of MOLLE webbing on top of the flap, on the sides, back and bottom of the bag and in the lower compartment for attaching additional pockets. You can also easily tie supplies to the girth using detachable straps. The lower corners of the bag have open pockets to attach long devices, e.g. an axe handle, to the side of the backpack. The lower corners of the shoulder straps have loops that serve as attachment points for small objects, such as water bottles. SUPPORT SYSTEM The frame of the support system is the strong aluminium tube frame of the LJK model. Unlike civilian backpacks, it has no upper bend because the bend easily sits in the head's way when it is necessary to move on rough terrain. Furthermore, the frame is reinforced with additional support blocks. The shoulder straps and waistband are firmly padded and anatomically shaped. In addition, the lower back is supported by a separate thick pillow. The buckle of the hip belt is a special plastic buckle that can be pulled in both directions and can be opened by pressing on the middle. The nodded chest strap provides extra comfort and support when wearing. The stepless adjustable (in length and width) supporting support support system and hip belt of the backpack can be adapted to users of all different heights and sizes. It is possible to adjust the center of gravity of the shoulder straps even while walking by tightening and loosening the straps attached to the top of the frame. Border controls A classic from 1989, known in Finnish as the Rajapartio, originally designed for the Finnish border guard. An internal tubular aluminium frame helps to carry unwieldy and heavy loads. What is special is that the Rajapartio backpack has attachment points for a rifle on the outside. Originally designed to carry an assault rifle, the attachment points can also be used very well to attach, for example, a camera tripod or other long special supplies. Compartments The upper main compartment (dimensions approximately 45 x 35 x 22 cm) is closed by attaching the opening of the drawstring, which is secured with a waterproof protective collar that also allows overpackaging. The opening is covered with a large flap that is secured with straps. The generous length of the straps offers plenty of space under the flap to overpack. In the flap is a large, open pouch. When the valve is closed, the opening of the bag is facing upwards and closes so that the contents do not fall. Against the back in the bag is a pocket the size of the entire back for the supporting frame of the backpack. The compartment is also ideal for carrying, for example, a water bag or other flat stuff. OTHER ANCHORAGES On the flap at the back of the backpack and at the bottom of the bag you will find fastening loops to carry a rifle. The loops are also equally suitable for carrying other exceptionally long devices. The load is secured by tightening a belt that encloses the entire backpack. There are attachment points for detachable straps on top of the flap. Large essentials that otherwise do not fit in the backpack can be fastened on top of the flap. The side compartment on the right is tunnel-shaped and there is a mounting point above for a detachable belt. For example, it can easily hold an axe. SUPPORT SYSTEM The wide, anatomically shaped, sturdy shoulder straps and the well-padded hip belt ensure supported and comfortable wearing. The buckle of the hip belt can be detached very quickly with one hand. A very valuable function in a possible emergency. With the support handle on the top, the backpack is also easy to carry by hand. The back is reinforced with an internal, square tube frame made of DUR aluminum. This lightweight frame keeps the backpack upright and is comfortable to carry, even with a slightly heavier load. The support frame can also be removed from the backpack if desired. Designed to be used with paratroopers’ LJK backpacks, the 202 has already become a classical concept. This is an extremely simple and very durable backpack, which is suitable for everyday use as well as for use in the forest. From the very beginning, the 202 was designed to be as light and simple as possible, so it could be packed easily and tightly. The 202 can be carried inside a bigger backpack from where it can be taken out to be used on shorter trips. This simple kit allows you to create different markers by combining the different patches or using them as is. The kit includes two 25 x 25 mm squares, two 20 x 50 mm lines and a 50 x 50 mm square. This allows you to make a number of different combinations, or just highlight a lot of different things with separate patches. They are made of fairly high-quality photoluminescent material, the same material that we have been using for decades in various military applications. This stuff is quite effective and lasts a very long time. We examined 10+ year old material we had in stock and it performed with around 90% the same efficiency as its brand new counterpart. Since the material itself has a very long lifespan, we decided not to rely solely on lamination/gluing to hold the photoluminescent material to the hook band. These are therefore also sewn for the longest possible lifespan. This significantly increases the cost of production, but now we can be sure that these will not delaminate after a few winter/summer use cycles. At first glance, the Hatka 12L may seem like just a roller bag with shoulder straps, but when you look closer, you'll see that there's actually a lot going on. This design was conceived as part of a special military carrying system, which required a small daypack that could be easily attached to a larger backpack. On the outside are four rows of PALS weaving tapes. These can be used for attaching pouches, bungee cords, and buckles to quickly attach or detach the Hatka to a larger backpack. The four webbing loops at the bottom can be used for elastic cords, so you can carry items under the backpack. Two long internal compartments are there to organize smaller items, and the D-ring provides a point to store small valuables. The large external pocket against your back is large enough for a hydration reservoir or tarp. The simple 25mm webbing shoulder straps are attached to D-rings and completely removable, and therefore also replaceable with padded shoulder straps if you wish. The door is designed so that you step into the tent instead of crawling under a low side entrance. A freely hanging inner wall prevents the warm air from escaping from the tent when the zippered door is opened. A useful function if someone has to keep watch at the same time and look at the lit heater.
There is a steel oven tube opening with a hinged lid between the door and the top of the front part. This design provides safety when using an oven for heating. If no oven is used, the folding cover closes the connection from the outside.
The side zippers provide a quick way out, especially during military operations or in case of emergency. The zippers and their rolled-up outer cover allow for a very fast emergency exit - open the zipper a little from top to bottom and just push yourself through!
The top of the tent is made of excess fabric that can be used to cover the top when a center stick is used. The tip can be left completely open or left open only on one side, depending on the wind direction, which regulates the ventilation and evaporation of moisture, depending on the conditions. When using an oven, it is advisable to keep the tip open so that the warm air can drain moisture.
HAWU tents are standard made of a naturally fire retardant and breathable fabric that has been treated against mold resistance. The fibers in the fabric swell when wet to ensure effective sealing against rain without the need for waterproof and poorly breathable coatings. For large orders, such as procurement by the military and government agencies, we can, and we have done so in the past, make the HAWU from other substances specified by the customer. CONSTRUCTION POSSIBILITIES
The split design offers flexibility in both transport and assembly. Thanks to the numerous mounting methods, the HAWU can be set up practically anywhere, which minimizes the time and effort required to find the perfect location. Around a tree: The halves can be mounted around a tree trunk, so there is no need to wear or manufacture separate center posts on site. Another advantage of this method is camouflage, where the treetops provide excellent camouflage for aerial exploration. Hanging: Instead of using a central support, trunk or pole, the HAWU can be hung on a rope between two trees. This creates space in the tent for more people or to set up equipment for maintenance and work. With a central pole: the usual old-fashioned way also works with the HAWU. For this we offer specially made telescopic mid-sticks. Side parts: The two halves of the HAWU can be used separately as smaller open protective sails. This allows a larger team to split up and take half the tent with them.
Due to the smart design of the corner sheath lines, no corner poles are needed. Just cut the lines or tie them around a rock or tree and pull on the quick belt adjusters to adjust the tension, and you're done. The lack of corner bars also means that there are far fewer separate components to maintain and move, which is a big advantage in suboptimal environments and under stress. As such, herrings are not strictly necessary, but are recommended. Although the shaving lines can be attached to the terrain and vegetation, this is not always possible. The corners of the hem should also be attached to the floor for a safe seal. The HAWU tent does not contain pegs, but we offer these as a separate accessory.
The upper loops and the carabiner mounting system that secures the top of the tent make it possible to set up the HAWU with a standard center pole to attach a tree or hang it at the top. FDF DROP LEG PANEL
Can be attached to a belt or carrying vest, originally designed for and currently in use by the Finnish Armed Forces. SR buckles for quick fast fast attachment and decoupling allow the user to easily scale their worn equipment up or down, quite commonly used as a support platform for gas masks.
