    HAWU 8
    The HAWU is a highly customizable security system designed for long-term use. It is perfect for the most demanding environments, also for military use all year round. Designed for versatility and adaptability, the HAWU is highly flexible when it comes to finding a suitable place to set up. This requires very few accessories. The core of its flexibility are the zippers that connect the tent parts together and allow them to be distributed and placed around tree trunks.
    The door is designed so that you step into the tent instead of crawling under a low side entrance. A freely hanging inner wall prevents the warm air from escaping from the tent when the zippered door is opened. A useful function if someone has to keep watch at the same time and look at the lit heater.
    There is a steel oven tube opening with a hinged lid between the door and the top of the front part. This design provides safety when using an oven for heating. If no oven is used, the folding cover closes the connection from the outside.
    HAWU 8
    The side zippers provide a quick way out, especially during military operations or in case of emergency. The zippers and their rolled-up outer cover allow for a very fast emergency exit - open the zipper a little from top to bottom and just push yourself through!
    The top of the tent is made of excess fabric that can be used to cover the top when a center stick is used. The tip can be left completely open or left open only on one side, depending on the wind direction, which regulates the ventilation and evaporation of moisture, depending on the conditions. When using an oven, it is advisable to keep the tip open so that the warm air can drain moisture.
    HAWU tents are standard made of a naturally fire retardant and breathable fabric that has been treated against mold resistance. The fibers in the fabric swell when wet to ensure effective sealing against rain without the need for waterproof and poorly breathable coatings. For large orders, such as procurement by the military and government agencies, we can, and we have done so in the past, make the HAWU from other substances specified by the customer. CONSTRUCTION POSSIBILITIES
    The split design offers flexibility in both transport and assembly. Thanks to the numerous mounting methods, the HAWU can be set up practically anywhere, which minimizes the time and effort required to find the perfect location. Around a tree: The halves can be mounted around a tree trunk, so there is no need to wear or manufacture separate center posts on site. Another advantage of this method is camouflage, where the treetops provide excellent camouflage for aerial exploration. Hanging: Instead of using a central support, trunk or pole, the HAWU can be hung on a rope between two trees. This creates space in the tent for more people or to set up equipment for maintenance and work. With a central pole: the usual old-fashioned way also works with the HAWU. For this we offer specially made telescopic mid-sticks. Side parts: The two halves of the HAWU can be used separately as smaller open protective sails. This allows a larger team to split up and take half the tent with them.
    Due to the smart design of the corner sheath lines, no corner poles are needed. Just cut the lines or tie them around a rock or tree and pull on the quick belt adjusters to adjust the tension, and you're done. The lack of corner bars also means that there are far fewer separate components to maintain and move, which is a big advantage in suboptimal environments and under stress. As such, herrings are not strictly necessary, but are recommended. Although the shaving lines can be attached to the terrain and vegetation, this is not always possible. The design of the Hawu tent was completed in collaboration with Savotta's designers and Hawu's original mass production design and development team.     The HAWU is a highly customizable security system designed for long-term use. It is perfect for the most demanding environments, also for military use all year round. Designed for versatility and adaptability, the HAWU is highly flexible when it comes to finding a suitable place to set up. This requires very few accessories. The core of its flexibility are the zippers that connect the tent parts together and allow them to be distributed and placed around tree trunks.
    The door is designed so that you step into the tent instead of crawling under a low side entrance. A freely hanging inner wall prevents the warm air from escaping from the tent when the zippered door is opened. A useful function if someone has to keep watch at the same time and look at the lit heater.
    There is a steel oven tube opening with a hinged lid between the door and the top of the front part. This design provides safety when using an oven for heating. If no oven is used, the folding cover closes the connection from the outside.
    The side zippers provide a quick way out, especially during military operations or in case of emergency. The zippers and their rolled-up outer cover allow for a very fast emergency exit - open the zipper a little from top to bottom and just push yourself through!
    The top of the tent is made of excess fabric that can be used to cover the top when a center stick is used. The tip can be left completely open or left open only on one side, depending on the wind direction, which regulates the ventilation and evaporation of moisture, depending on the conditions. When using an oven, it is advisable to keep the tip open so that the warm air can drain moisture.
    HAWU tents are standard made of a naturally fire retardant and breathable fabric that has been treated against mold resistance. The fibers in the fabric swell when wet to ensure effective sealing against rain without the need for waterproof and poorly breathable coatings. For large orders, such as procurement by the military and government agencies, we can, and we have done so in the past, make the HAWU from other substances specified by the customer. CONSTRUCTION POSSIBILITIES
    The split design offers flexibility in both transport and assembly. Thanks to the numerous mounting methods, the HAWU can be set up practically anywhere, which minimizes the time and effort required to find the perfect location. Around a tree: The halves can be mounted around a tree trunk, so there is no need to wear or manufacture separate center posts on site. Another advantage of this method is camouflage, where the treetops provide excellent camouflage for aerial exploration. Hanging: Instead of using a central support, trunk or pole, the HAWU can be hung on a rope between two trees. This creates space in the tent for more people or to set up equipment for maintenance and work. With a central pole: the usual old-fashioned way also works with the HAWU. For this we offer specially made telescopic mid-sticks. Side parts: The two halves of the HAWU can be used separately as smaller open protective sails. This allows a larger team to split up and take half the tent with them.
    Due to the smart design of the corner sheath lines, no corner poles are needed.     LJK MODULAR A modular, heavy-duty backpack with external frame, designed for the Finnish Armed Forces in 2008. Capacity approx. 80 l. The modular LJK is designed to meet the needs of the armed forces for a modern military backpack. The characteristics and details are well thought out according to the needs of the 21st century without compromising durability and reliability in extremely heavy military use. The backpack can be customized to your needs with separate pockets and numerous attachment points. There's not much left of the old LJK backpack, except for the name, external frame design and a construction that can withstand pretty much anything. The compartments and structure of the entire backpack have been completely redesigned. The end result is more practical than before and considerably more versatile. The modular LJK has also proved to be a functional and reliable carrier when used by the Finnish armed forces and the Finnish border guard. A traditional backpack with external frame is at its best with a heavy load, but is also suitable for lighter trips. The external tube frame ensures air circulation between the pocket itself and the user's back, significantly reducing the heat load. Although anatomical backpacks have taken over some grass in the backpack market, there are still situations where nothing is better than an external frame backpack. Compartments The upper compartment of the bag (dimensions about 50 x 35 x 25 cm) is closed by attaching the opening of the drawstring, which is secured with a waterproof protective collar that also allows overpackaging. The opening is first covered with a attached straps and is then covered with a generous flap that is secured with buckle closures. The bags are attached to the backpack with MOLLE girders used in military equipment. It is a very simple, durable and reliable attachment method. OTHER ANCHORAGES There is a generous number of fastening loops on top of the valve and in the main compartment. This makes it possible to secure even large loads (such as the beloved Sissi tent) on or under the valve by means of detachable tires. The loops on the inside of the flap are perfect for attaching a sleeping mat. Especially a military-style tent mattress can be attached to this by means of the elastic bands. There are several belt loops on the sides and back of the backpack that can be attached to various essentials with detachable straps. The backpack comes with four two-piece buckles that can be moved freely between the backpack's attachment points. By default, they are used to strengthen the attachment of the side boxes. There is a lot of MOLLE webbing on top of the flap, on the sides, back and bottom of the bag and in the lower compartment for attaching additional pockets. You can also easily tie supplies to the girth using detachable straps. The lower corners of the bag have open pockets to attach long devices, e.g. an axe handle, to the side of the backpack. The lower corners of the shoulder straps have loops that serve as attachment points for small objects, such as water bottles. SUPPORT SYSTEM The frame of the support system is the strong aluminium tube frame of the LJK model. Unlike civilian backpacks, it has no upper bend because the bend easily sits in the head's way when it is necessary to move on rough terrain. Furthermore, the frame is reinforced with additional support blocks. The shoulder straps and waistband are firmly padded and anatomically shaped. In addition, the lower back is supported by a separate thick pillow. The buckle of the hip belt is a special plastic buckle that can be pulled in both directions and can be opened by pressing on the middle.     DETAILED DESCRIPTION The sauna has been a central and honored place in Finnish life for centuries, a place of birth and death, life and celebration. The word "hiisi" is old Finnish for a sacred place, a place of sacrifice or mystical power - the perfect family name for our sauna tents and accessories. The Hiisi 4 is built around the basics of our field camps, corner poles, telescopic centre pole, shaving lines and pegs. The canines are inserted into covers on the outside of the tent, which makes the interior a little less crowded. The ceiling and wall material is fire retardant for safety, but not fire resistant, so sparks and flames will burn holes in it, so be careful. The interior is large enough for two double sofas, totalling four people, and the stove. The stove is at the back, benches on the sides. The window at the back lets in some light and lets you enjoy the view out. Two zippers are used to close the door, which can also be rolled up and secured by two strips of Velcro. A piece of cord is attached to the centre of the ceiling, which is intended as a confirmation point for a sauna thermometer to help you keep up with the temperature and not overheat the tent.     INSTRUCTIONS - READ BEFORE USE! We recommend two to four people to set up the Hiisi 4. You need a hammer or similar tool to smash the poles into the ground. We recommend using a sauna thermometer of up to 100°C to prevent overheating and help you get the perfect temperature.
    1. Find a suitable flat spot about 3.5 x 3.5 m, beware of dangers: Dry grass and undergrowth, trees and branches (fire hazard). Uneven surface (heater or users may stumble and fall).
    2. Unseed and insert the corner sticks into the sleeves.
    3. Spread out the tent sheet with the sticks approximately at the place you want it to have.
    4. Set one or two opposite angles at the same time: Hammer a stick about in the ground. 140 cm from the corner. Attach the corner rope to the pole with a reliable knot. Repeat until all corners are in place and each shaving line is pinned to the ground.
    5. Install the telescopic center pole, use the pen to adjust it for the correct height and tension.
    6. Inspect the tent, correct if necessary by adjusting the poles, poles and ropes.
    7. Install heater and benches.
    8. If available, attach a sauna thermometer of up to 100 °C to the line hanging from the ceiling. The thermometer should hang 150 cm above the ground.

    WARNINGS - READ FOR USE! This sauna tent is designed to be heated with the Savotta wood stove and stone rack. If used incorrectly, the heated heater can cause numerous hazards and bodily injury:
    • Savotta sauna tents are not designed for long-term idling and must be disassembled, cleaned, dried and stored indoors between use. Sunlight will damage the substances over time. By keeping a tent upright for several months, it is damaged and any damage caused by this type of abuse is not covered by our warranty.
    • To prevent tent damage from falling sparks, the top of the chimney should protrude 100 cm above the chimney opening. We recommend firing hardwood to minimize the risk of sparks.
    • Although the substances are fire retardant and self-extinguishing, they are not fire resistant - sparks and flames will damage and burn holes in the fabric. Heater heated tents will in normal use incur some burnt holes due to sparks that touch the fabric. This is normal wear and tear and can be easily repaired if necessary. Our warranty does not cover fire damage due to normal or incorrect use.
    • Use only stones intended for sauna use. Incorrect stones can burst when heated and cause injury due to flying shrapnel.

    The HAWU is a highly customizable security system designed for long-term use. It is perfect for the most demanding environments, also for military use all year round. Designed for versatility and adaptability, the HAWU is highly flexible when it comes to finding a suitable place to set up. This requires very few accessories. The core of its flexibility are the zippers that connect the tent parts together and allow them to be distributed and placed around tree trunks.
    The door is designed so that you step into the tent instead of crawling under a low side entrance. A freely hanging inner wall prevents the warm air from escaping from the tent when the zippered door is opened. A useful function if someone has to keep watch at the same time and look at the lit heater.
    There is a steel oven tube opening with a hinged lid between the door and the top of the front part. This design provides safety when using an oven for heating. If no oven is used, the folding cover closes the connection from the outside.
    The side zippers provide a quick way out, especially during military operations or in case of emergency. The zippers and their rolled-up outer cover allow for a very fast emergency exit - open the zipper a little from top to bottom and just push yourself through!
    The top of the tent is made of excess fabric that can be used to cover the top when a center stick is used. The tip can be left completely open or left open only on one side, depending on the wind direction, which regulates the ventilation and evaporation of moisture, depending on the conditions. When using an oven, it is advisable to keep the tip open so that the warm air can drain moisture.
    HAWU tents are standard made of a naturally fire retardant and breathable fabric that has been treated against mold resistance. The fibers in the fabric swell when wet to ensure effective sealing against rain without the need for waterproof and poorly breathable coatings. For large orders, such as procurement by the military and government agencies, we can, and we have done so in the past, make the HAWU from other substances specified by the customer. CONSTRUCTION POSSIBILITIES
    The split design offers flexibility in both transport and assembly. Thanks to the numerous mounting methods, the HAWU can be set up practically anywhere, which minimizes the time and effort required to find the perfect location. Around a tree: The halves can be mounted around a tree trunk, so there is no need to wear or manufacture separate center posts on site. Another advantage of this method is camouflage, where the treetops provide excellent camouflage for aerial exploration. Hanging: Instead of using a central support, trunk or pole, the HAWU can be hung on a rope between two trees. This creates space in the tent for more people or to set up equipment for maintenance and work. With a central pole: the usual old-fashioned way also works with the HAWU. For this we offer specially made telescopic mid-sticks. Side parts: The two halves of the HAWU can be used separately as smaller open protective sails. This allows a larger team to split up and take half the tent with them.
    Due to the smart design of the corner sheath lines, no corner poles are needed. Just cut the lines or tie them around a rock or tree and pull on the quick belt adjusters to adjust the tension, and you're done. The lack of corner bars also means that there are far fewer separate components to maintain and move, which is a big advantage in suboptimal environments and under stress. As such, herrings are not strictly necessary, but are recommended. Although the shaving lines can be attached to the terrain and vegetation, this is not always possible. The corners of the hem should also be attached to the floor for a safe seal. The HAWU tent does not contain pegs, but we offer these as a separate accessory.
    The upper loops and the carabiner mounting system that secures the top of the tent make it possible to set up the HAWU with a standard center pole to attach a tree or hang it at the top. THE HAWU STORY The origins of Hawu tents go back to 1993 when Pasi Ylirisku, the current CEO of Hawu Pro Oy, and his staff began developing a new tent design. For more than two decades, they have tested and improved the Hawu tent to perfection with great attention to detail. In 2016, Finn-Savotta Oy and Hawu Pro Oy signed a cooperation agreement. The design of the Hawu tent was completed in collaboration with Savotta's designers and Hawu's original mass production design and development team.     LJK This heavy backpack with external frame was originally designed for paratroopers of the Finnish army in the early 1980s. Capacity approx. 80 l. This backpack, designed for heavy military use, can be used more heavily than most users, such as a free fall of an aircraft. Given its properties, LJK is also suitable for average users and it is an excellent choice for those looking for a lifetime collaboration. The LJK backpack was launched in 1985. Originally designed for military use, the backpack was also warmly welcomed by civilian users. The special features of the model are a frame without the upper curve, which makes moving easier because it does not get in the way of the head. There are no pockets on the sides of the backpack in the lower section, which makes cross-country skiing with the backpack more comfortable. The LJK backpack is still used in the Finnish Armed Forces and is just as popular with recreational users. A traditional backpack with external frame is at its best with a heavy load, but is also suitable for lighter trips. The external tube frame ensures air circulation between the user's pocket and back, significantly reducing the heat load.     DETAILED DESCRIPTION The sauna has been a central and respected place in Finnish life for centuries, a place of birth and death, life and celebration. The word "hiisi" is old Finnish for a sacred place, a place of sacrifice or mystical power - the perfect family name for our sauna tents and accessories. The Hiisi 2 is a renewed design based on the old Hikimaja. The tent itself is actually a box with a sloping roof, not a center post. The corner poles are put into tubes on the outside of the tent, so that it is less crowded inside. The ceiling and wall materials are fire retardant for safety, but not fireproof, so sparks and flames will burn holes in them, so be careful. The interior is large enough for a double sofa, two people and the stove. The stove is placed in the far right corner, as seen from the entrance. The sofa is placed against the left wall, under the window. The window along the top edge of the sofa wall provides some light and a chance to look outside. The entrance is a simple zippered slot. A piece of cord is attached to the ceiling seam of the back wall, this is an attachment point for a sauna thermometer to help you monitor the temperature and not overheat the tent. The tent, poles and stakes can be neatly transported in a carrying case. Shoulder straps make it possible to carry a backpack and free up your hands for stoves or other accessories.
    INSTRUCTIONS - READ BEFORE USE! We recommend two to four people to set up the Hiisi 2. You need a hammer or something similar to hit the poles in the ground. We recommend using a sauna thermometer up to 100°C to prevent overheating and help you get the perfect temperature. 1. Find a suitable flat spot approx. 3.5 x 3.5 m, beware of dangers:
    • Dry grass and undergrowth, trees and branches (fire hazard).
    • Uneven surface (stove or users may stumble and fall).
    2. Unpack the tent canvas and insert the corner poles into the covers. 3. Spread the tent cloth with the poles approximately where you want it. 4. Aim one or two opposite corners at once:
    • Hammer a pole into the ground approx. 140/160 cm (wall height) from the corner.
    • Attach the corner guy line with a reliable knot to the pole.
    • Repeat until all the corners are in place and each shaving cord is fastened to the ground.
    5. Inspect the tent, correct if necessary by adjusting the poles, poles and ropes. 6. Install the stove and the sofa. 7. If necessary, attach a sauna thermometer up to 100°C to the line hanging from the ceiling.
    • The thermometer should hang 140 cm above the ground.

    • Only use stones intended for sauna use. Improper stones, when heated, can crack and cause injuries from flying shrapnel.
    • Sparks and heat from the stove can set fire to combustible material nearby, easily remove combustible material in and near the tent before use.
    • Always keep a large bucket of water or a fire extinguisher within seconds range of the tent when the stove is hot, be prepared to put out any fire!

The function and idea of that now long-lost design was brought back as the Hikimaja, our smallest, simplest sauna tent. The word "hikimaja" is Finnish for (about) "sweat cottage", this is a very simplistic sauna tent built around the idea of making it as compact, simple and portable as possible. The Hikimaja is built around a very simple geometry - it's a box and that's all. Four corner poles keep the tent upright, this design eliminates the need for a center bar and reduces the number of accessories to just four corner poles and four pegs. The corner poles are inserted into the sleeves on the outside of the tent, making the interior slightly less crowded. The materials are fire retardant for safety, but not fire proof, so sparks and flames will burn holes in them, so be careful. The interior is large enough for a double sofa and the stove. The stove is at the bottom of the wall, the sofa against the opposite upper wall. The entrance is a simple zipper over the middle of the front wall, zipper - entry - zipper.     The cave-like, easy-to-pack bag and the wearing comfort of an external steel frame make the 339 a great choice for longer trips. A classic model from the 1950s, only the materials have been renewed over the years but the design has remained the same. Compartments The main compartment is closed by tightening the opening with drawstring which is covered with a flap that can be fastened with straps. The straps are long enough to, for example, attach a coiled sleeping mat or blanket under the flap. If necessary, additional detachable tyres can be used to extend the tyres. The contents of the bag can also be accessed quickly via the small side zipper on the right side of the opening. Special is that on the sides of the bag there are strings that can be used to tighten it to make the bag firm with less stuff in it, the adjustment range is about 10 cm. Conveniently, you can pack extra supplies behind the side cords, for example a camping axe. The side pockets are ideal for packing large thermos bottles and other cumbersome, long necessities. You can put lots of small necessities in the generous outdoor compartment for quick and easy access. SUPPORT SYSTEM The frame of the support device is the steel tube frame of the 339. The lower part of the frame is curved and forms a base on which the backpack can also be placed safely on sharp stony ground. The supporting carrying system, similar to backpacks with external frame, ensures comfort. The back length is adjustable steplessly for users of different lengths. Your upper back is against stretched mesh and your lower back in turn against a belt saddle: these prevent the bag itself from largely hitting your back, which makes for less sweaty conditions. The shoulder straps are wider than normal and padded, a chest strap with buckle gives extra support. The support point of the shoulder straps is located at the top of the frame. SUPPORT SYSTEM The Jääkäri M has an internal frame of plastic plate, giving it the necessary stiffness to stay upright when loaded with clumsy and bulky equipment. Both the shoulder harness and the lap belt are tightly filled with foam with closed cells. The shoulder harness is S-shaped and has a detachable chest strap. The forward-pulling lap belt is also easy to put on under load. The buckle on the side provides quick and easy opening when needed. CONNECTION OF FINNISH BORDER GUARD In the early 1990s, a compact Savotta walking backpack, simply called the "608", was chosen as the starting point for the design of a new day backpack for the Finnish Border Guard. This then changed to the 'Kevyt Rajapartio' or Lightweight Border Patrol backpack, a very modern backpack for its time: narrow design for mobility, side zipper, compression belts and rifle fastening.     HIISI FOLDABLE SAUNA SOFAS

    The Hiisi folding sauna bench is designed for Savotta tent saunas. The structure is foldable, making the benches compact to wear. The benches are made of light firewood that has been treated for the sauna environment. A bank can accommodate two people. The banks are made in Finland. The benches consist of two parts: the collapsible frame and the seat. The assembly is quick and easy. The frame part is folded open and forms the basic structure of the benches, including footrests. The chair is then placed on top of the frame, making the structure more stable. The whole is secured in place with the help of handy Velcro fasteners that round the attachment of the seat to the frame. Hiisi benches are ideal for the Hikimaja sauna, the small sauna tent, the Hiisi sauna tent and the JSP sauna tent. A bench is enough for the Hikimaja sauna, but the small sauna tent and hiisi sauna tent each offer space on two benches.     A rifle backpack for a hunter which also meets the requirements for the transport of a firearm thanks to a new rain cover. It works both while hunting and on the way there. The robust and padded rifle compartment can accommodate a rifle with a larger scope as well. The whole package can be tightened sturdily with the compression straps of the bag, making carrying a firearm both comfortable and safe in any terrain. The slim design of Torrakko facilitates moving around in off-road conditions. The thinly padded shoulder straps make shooting while the backpack is on your back easy. The streamlined package has been designed to be as practical as possible. Torrakko has no extra protruding or entangling parts.

    COMPARTMENTS

    The bag (dimensions approximately 45 x 25 x 15 cm) is closed by tightening the drawstring opening which is covered with a protective flap that is secured with buckled straps. The main compartment opens also with two zippers spanning the full length the sides. If these are opened, the entire back of the backpack opens up, making all contents of the backpack very conveniently accessible. The bag can be tightened into a snug package by using the compression straps on the sides. There is a flat, zippered mesh pocket (dimensions approximately 20 x 20 cm) inside the flap where the game pouch of Torrakko is kept by default. The pocket is also ideal for other small items. The bottom of the backpack has a flat pocket which closes with Velcro (dimensions approximately 12 x 20 cm) where the rain cover of Torrakko is kept by default. The game pouch (dimensions approximately 35 x 35 cm) is a bag made of netted fabric with an opening that can be tightened using a drawstring. The game pouch is attached to the back of the backpack with four strap loops which are attached to the compression straps of the backpack. The rifle compartment of Torrakko (dimensions approximately 85 x 25 x 9 cm) is located between the bag and your back. It is open at the top and tapers towards the bottom for the barrel. The rifle can be secured tightly for carrying by using the compression straps of the backpack. The new rain cover covers the entire backpack and also the butt of the firearm which would otherwise remain exposed from the rifle compartment. The rain cover is fastened around the firearm with a zipper and a buckle. So with the rain cover in place, Torrakko is a legal firearm carrying case also in public places as well as in the car. You will no longer have to transport your firearm in a separate bag from which it is then transferred into a backpack. Your rifle can ride from home into the forest, during hunting and back again inside Torrakko.

    OTHER ATTACHMENT POINTS

    Extra supplies that would not otherwise fit inside the backpack can be tied conveniently to the buckled compression straps on the sides. Rain capes and break clothing, for example, travel with you conveniently and readily available on the sides of the backpack.

    CARRYING SYSTEM

    The back, shoulder straps and hip belt of the rifle carrying device are all lightly padded. There is plenty of room for adjustment in both the shoulder straps and the hip belt. The back of backpack has been reinforced with an internal plastic sheet. The padding pillows galore on the back make carrying comfortable.

The inside of the lid is equipped with strips loop for attaching accessories with a hook back. The main compartment is a hollow space with two mesh pockets, one at each end, to help organize smaller items. The external side compartment measures 35 x 23 x 5 cm and is designed for quick access and organization of smaller items and A4 documents. The back wall features two flat mesh pouches and a D-ring and two webbing tabs to secure valuables with a teat cord or buckles. While carrying the backpack, the foam filling with closed cells on the inside of the lid provides a basic level of comfort against your back, even if you carry annoying mess in the bag. When a backpack with a bag like this should be as uncomfortable as possible, let's face it - this will never be as comfortable as a real backpack. Instead of building our bags with unergonomic, too long handles that also serve as shoulder straps, we've decided to make this a separate option for those who really need it, so we can build each carrying option in the right way for the intended feature. MILITARY GRADE MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION The bags from the Keikka series are made to last. The carrier handles are made of a single length of 50 mm wide band that wraps around the bottom of the bag, sandwiched between two layers of 1000D Cordura. Stress points are reinforced with double stitching and seams are finished with binding tape to prevent fraying. All carrier buckps are made of steel and are likely to last longer than the rest of the bag. Most of the materials we use for our commercial production are the same ones we use in equipment for the Finnish Armed Forces and other defence and security customers. Our most commonly used fabric in load carriers is extremely wear-resistant 1000D Cordura, according to FDF specifications, with polyurethane coating on the inside. The webbing and edge band we use are, again according to the FDF specifications, strong polyester band in different widths and thicknesses for different applications. Our green and M05 camouflage materials and accessories meet the strict FDF specifications for NIR reflection levels as they should be, as the same materials are used in official military equipment. PROPER RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION We manufacture the vast majority of our products ourselves in our own factories in Karstula, Finland and Tartu, Estonia. Product development and special production phases such as laser cutting and metalworking take place in our main facility in Finland, the cutting and sewing of textiles takes place both in Finland and in Estonia. Here at Savotta we do not dream of low labour costs, but we work constantly hard to keep the production in our own hands!     Due to its size, the 323 saddle sack is ideal for one or two day hunting trips: the backpack holds the necessary overnight equipment, provisions and other useful gadgets and tools comfortably. Once upon a time when men were made of steel and women as tough as nails, you could survive for weeks just with the saddle sack (or months, if you ask remote patrollers who served in wars), sleeping in the wilderness and eating what nature has to offer. Although the needs of a modern camper are different, a good backpack design is still a good backpack design. The traditional saddle sack is as fine a carrying device as it ever was, and it has the sort of a romantic retro vibe that you just cannot find in contemporary backpacks.

    COMPARTMENTS

    The main compartment of the bag (dimensions approximately 45 x 35 x 25 cm) is closed by tightening the opening which is covered with a flap that can be secured with leather straps. The straps are long enough to attach, for example, a rolled sleeping mat or blanket under the flap. If necessary, additional detachable straps can be used to lengthen the straps. The size of the main compartment of the backpack is large enough to fit even a heavy winter sleeping bag inside. The side pockets (dimensions approximately 33 x 10 x 6 cm) are closed with fitted flaps with good coverage and secured with leather straps. The side pockets are ideal for packing large Thermos flasks and other cumbersome, long supplies. The back pocket (dimensions approximately 20 x 30 x 6 cm) is closed with a flap equipped with two leather straps.     OTHER ATTACHMENT POINTS

    There are attachment loops on the sides of the opening for detachable straps. By using straps, it is possible to attach long rolls, such as a blanket or a sleeping mat, securely on top of the bag. Ensure sturdy attachment by closing the flap of the bag over the roll.

    CARRYING SYSTEM

    A special feature of the saddle sack is its steel pipe frame which enables steady and comfortable carrying. The sturdy frame holds the bag firmly in shape and the horizontal leather strap stretched across the lower part of the frame sits comfortably against your lower back, keeping the bag itself from touching your back. The shoulder straps are wide leather straps, the length of which can be adjusted with buckles. This backpack was originally designed for sniper teams to carry various shooter/spotter-related gear, but has proven to be a great asset for all kinds of tasks both inside and outside of military origins during development. The large seven-litre capacity plus numerous external mounting options make this a very versatile general-purpose bag. On the inside, the bag has a number of options for organizing your belongings: elastic webbing loops of different sizes, flat pockets, attachment loops, and a loop surface for attaching organizers with hooks. On the back wall, two rows of 50 mm elastic webbing are sewn, forming loops of different sizes. The bottom row is sewn in two large, approx. 17 cm wide loops (designed for .50 cal Barrett magazines). The top row is sewn in three smaller, approx. 12 cm wide loops (designed for HK417 magazines). Each end of the bag has an elastic loop for smaller items. The front wall has two flat compartments with attachment loops at the top.     At first glance, the Hatka 12L may seem like just a roller bag with shoulder straps, but when you look closer, you'll see that there's actually a lot going on. This design was conceived as part of a special military carrying system, which required a small daypack that could be easily attached to a larger backpack. On the outside are four rows of PALS weaving tapes. These can be used for attaching pouches, bungee cords, and buckles to quickly attach or detach the Hatka to a larger backpack. The four webbing loops at the bottom can be used for elastic cords, so you can carry items under the backpack. Two long internal compartments are there to organize smaller items, and the D-ring provides a point to store small valuables. The large external pocket against your back is large enough for a hydration reservoir or tarp. The simple 25mm webbing shoulder straps are attached to D-rings and completely removable, and therefore also replaceable with padded shoulder straps if you wish.     TRICKS AND MODULARITY Clip and tie it to a larger backpack for use as a "grab and go" daypack. You can do this by tucking it under the flap or by using packing straps. The really great way is to attach the Hatka to the side compression or lid straps using G-hooks or PALS mounted SR buckles. You'll need four of them to securely attach the Hatka 12L to the back of your Jääkäri M, L or XL. Please note that these attachment buckles ARE NOT INCLUDED with the backpack. If you need to, you can add a lot of stuff to the outside of this otherwise quite small backpack. The PALS webbing allows you to attach bags, but you can also thread bungee cords to it (along with the four webbing loops at the bottom) for rain gear, tarpaulins etc. Because the Hatka is in many ways a spiritual successor to the venerable 202 daypack, it also has very rudimentary shoulder straps. This reduces weight and bulk, which is great if you're strapping it to a larger backpack. If you need to, you can easily replace it with more advanced padded options. Although there aren't too many compartments, you can still make good use of them if you pack smartly. Of course, you can put your large items in the main compartment, and the two small inner compartments can hold all kinds of small items and even water bottles. The D-ring can be used to clamp or tie small valuables.     Designed to be used with paratroopers’ LJK backpacks, the 202 has already become a classical concept. This is an extremely simple and very durable backpack, which is suitable for everyday use as well as for use in the forest. From the very beginning, the 202 was designed to be as light and simple as possible, so it could be packed easily and tightly. The 202 can be carried inside a bigger backpack from where it can be taken out to be used on shorter trips.     COMPARTMENTS

    The main compartment of the Backpack (dimensions about 42 x 27 x 15 cm) is closed with a two-way zipper. The inside is without any additional compartments so even special and large items can fit in. Packing smartly is wise; for instance, folding one’s change of clothes and putting them against the back. This way, the Backpack would function as a back cushion. The outer pocket (measures about 15 x 23 x 5 cm) is closed with a zipper. It is convenient for smaller items which might be needed quickly.

    CARRYING SYSTEM

    The 202’s shoulder straps are very simple and adjusting their length is done using the plastic buckles in the lower corners. The Backpack can also be carried by hand by an extremely strong two-piece handle.

    A versatile helmet cover with the right camouflage attachment cords throughout. Designed around the geometry of the Ops Core FAST XP high cut helmet shell, but also fits many other high cut helmets. The world is full of covers for high-cut helmets, but since 99% of these covers don't offer a real way to properly camouflage the helmet with foliage etc., we decided to unleash our offer on those as well. Made of 500D Cordura instead of regular garment fabric for high abrasion resistance. Unlike most high-cut helmet covers, which only have that zigzag cord at the top, our cover has elastic cord attachment points around the helmet shell. This allows you to camouflage your helmet well with foliage and the like. Because the elastic cord is not sewn to the cover, you can choose not to use it at all or to adjust or replace it as needed. The back of the case features a piece of 25mm webbing, with bartacked mounting points for IR strobes and the like. Then we have the standard loops on the sides, top and back for identifiers, patches, cameras, pockets for counterweight etc. The cover is attached via six pieces of one-wrap to pieces of hook on the inside of the helmet shell. If your specific helmet doesn't have pieces of hook exactly where it needs to: that's why we supply a piece of self-adhesive hook of 50 x 150 mm with every cover!     SIZE, FIT AND COMPATIBILITY The sizes are matched to the Ops-Core FAST helmet sizes. A cover in size L fits a helmet in size L, a cover in size XL fits on a helmet shell in size XL. At the moment we don't offer M or XXL size covers, but L size covers fit M size shells (and XL size covers also fit L size shells) with the elastic cord as a kind of size adjustment system. Don't forget that each cover comes with a piece of adhesive hook tape, use this to create suitable attachment points in your helmet for the attachment straps! With the elastic cord that surrounds the helmet, you can tighten and shape the case to better fit the contours of helmet shells of different shapes and sizes. In addition to the perfect match, the Ops-Core FAST XP, we also tested the fit on a number of other common helmet designs:
    • Ops-Core FAST SF (super high cut): fits pretty nicely after some tweaking
    • UaRms TOR-D (slightly thicker helmet shell than Ops-Core): fits very well
    • Galvion Caiman ballistic (very different shape): fits quite well after some adjustments
    • PGD ARCH (old generation, Ops-Core XP shell geometry): fits very nicely
    • PGD ARCH/MICH (current (2023) gen): Fits, but NVD bungees and rear rail screws end up under the cover*.
    *The current-generation PGD ARCH/MICH helmet rails are covered by the visor at the front and rear. This blocks access to the rear rail screws (NVD ballast bag attachment) and the NVD bungee cords at the front of the rails. You can easily customize the cover by carefully cutting small holes (and burning them gently to avoid fraying) for the bungees and screws. Changes to the cover are of course at your own risk!

Waist bags are already very versatile, but the Kukkaro is even more so thanks to the many ways you can customize it to suit your specific needs. On the inside, the bag has a number of options for organizing your belongings: elastic webbing loops of different sizes, flat pockets, tie-down loops and a loop surface for attaching organizers with hooks. The back wall has a large flat compartment for larger items. On top of the compartment is sewn a single row of 50 mm elastic webbing, which contains two smaller approx. 4 cm wide loops and a larger approx. 9 cm wide loop, suitable for small items such as multi-tools, lighters etc. The front wall has two small flat compartments with attachment loops at the top.
