Large, multifunctional waist bag suitable for various specialized activities and tasks. Versatile internal organization and numerous external attachment points. Quickly attaches to backpacks in a variety of ways, allowing you to use the Askare as part of a modular, scalable backpack system. "Askare" is Finnish for "task" or "chore", it's as simple as that. This backpack was originally designed for sniper teams to carry various shooter/spotter-related gear, but has proven to be a great asset for all kinds of tasks both inside and outside of military origins during development. The large seven-litre capacity plus numerous external mounting options make this a very versatile general-purpose bag. On the inside, the bag has a number of options for organizing your belongings: elastic webbing loops of different sizes, flat pockets, attachment loops, and a loop surface for attaching organizers with hooks. On the back wall, two rows of 50 mm elastic webbing are sewn, forming loops of different sizes. The bottom row is sewn in two large, approx. 17 cm wide loops (designed for .50 cal Barrett magazines). The top row is sewn in three smaller, approx. 12 cm wide loops (designed for HK417 magazines). Each end of the bag has an elastic loop for smaller items. The front wall has two flat compartments with attachment loops at the top. A loop area of 35 x 10 cm on the inside of the front makes it possible to attach all kinds of organizers with hooks, etc. A large, open compartment on the back of the backpack has a removable closed cell foam pad on the inside and allows you to store the waist belt if needed. This open compartment can also be used as a huge belt loop if you want to carry the Askare on a belt or the waist belt of a backpack. The PALS webbing on the sides allows you to attach small pockets and accessories to the outside of the backpack. The horizontal webbing on the front of the backpack can be used to attach small pouches such as our Multitool pouch, Tourniquet pouch and Zipped GP pouch 2x2, or elastic drawstring loops. The many loops on the sides of the backpack can be used to attach elastic cord to carry all kinds of items on the bottom and front of the bag, turnstiles, ponchos, tarps, whatever. WEARING OPTIONS Due to its large size, the Askare carries the best on your lower back, rotate it forward for easy access. The strap is also long enough to carry the bag on your back like a sling pack. The strap is attached to large triangular wings for stability. For longer backpack movements, you can quickly attach the Askare to the compression straps on the side of your backpack. To do this, you'll need to add suitable buckles (2M PALS mount or split-bar female buckles) or use G-hooks. No quick-release buckles are included with the bag. You can also quickly attach the Askare to the side of your backpack by threading the compression straps on the side of the backpack through the large belt loops on the front of the bag. The strap can be stored in the open compartment on the side of the bag when you carry it on your backpack. Waist bags are already very versatile, but the Kukkaro is even more so thanks to the many ways you can customize it to suit your specific needs. Savotta GITD Patch Kit

This simple kit allows you to create different markers by combining the different patches or using them as is. The kit includes two 25 x 25 mm squares, two 20 x 50 mm lines and a 50 x 50 mm square. This allows you to make a number of different combinations, or just highlight a lot of different things with separate patches. They are made of fairly high-quality photoluminescent material, the same material that we have been using for decades in various military applications. This stuff is quite effective and lasts a very long time. We examined 10+ year old material we had in stock and it performed with around 90% the same efficiency as its brand new counterpart. Since the material itself has a very long lifespan, we decided not to rely solely on lamination/gluing to hold the photoluminescent material to the hook band. These are therefore also sewn for the longest possible lifespan. This significantly increases the cost of production, but now we can be sure that these will not delaminate after a few winter/summer use cycles. KEY FEATURES

At first glance, the Hatka 12L may seem like just a roller bag with shoulder straps, but when you look closer, you'll see that there's actually a lot going on. This design was conceived as part of a special military carrying system, which required a small daypack that could be easily attached to a larger backpack. On the outside are four rows of PALS weaving tapes. These can be used for attaching pouches, bungee cords, and buckles to quickly attach or detach the Hatka to a larger backpack. The four webbing loops at the bottom can be used for elastic cords, so you can carry items under the backpack. Two long internal compartments are there to organize smaller items, and the D-ring provides a point to store small valuables. The large external pocket against your back is large enough for a hydration reservoir or tarp. TRICKS AND MODULARITY Clip and tie it to a larger backpack for use as a "grab and go" daypack. You can do this by tucking it under the flap or by using packing straps. The really great way is to attach the Hatka to the side compression or lid straps using G-hooks or PALS mounted SR buckles. You'll need four of them to securely attach the Hatka 12L to the back of your Jääkäri M, L or XL. Please note that these attachment buckles ARE NOT INCLUDED with the backpack. If you need to, you can add a lot of stuff to the outside of this otherwise quite small backpack. The PALS webbing allows you to attach bags, but you can also thread bungee cords to it (along with the four webbing loops at the bottom) for rain gear, tarpaulins etc. Because the Hatka is in many ways a spiritual successor to the venerable 202 daypack, it also has very rudimentary shoulder straps. This reduces weight and bulk, which is great if you're strapping it to a larger backpack. If you need to, you can easily replace it with more advanced padded options. Although there aren't too many compartments, you can still make good use of them if you pack smartly. Of course, you can put your large items in the main compartment, and the two small inner compartments can hold all kinds of small items and even water bottles. The D-ring can be used to clamp or tie small valuables. The external compartment against your back can be used to carry a closed-cell foam pad as a frame cloth, or to carry a tarp or hydration bladder. Really nothing special, but exactly what you need for a side pocket on your backpack. The zipper is covered for extra water repellency and protection against wear and dirt. The vertical webbings on the front keep the compression straps of your backpack neatly in place over the pouch, so that they can also compress the pouch well. These can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners, and things like that. A 25 mm webbing loop and D-ring on the top of the rear inner wall make it possible to secure small and important items, the flat rear compartment provides rudimentary organization for smaller items. The bottom and the lower half of the sides are lined with 210D polyamide for extra wear resistance. A through-through opening allows for the drainage of water that could seep into the bag. The back is equipped with our standard PALS fastening web belt system with folding tabs. The middle horizontal rows were omitted because they didn't really do anything other than add weight. We are not a manufacturer of ultra-light stuff, but even we do not like unnecessary weight. The two vertical fastening straps leave an approx. 9 cm wide gap, so you can carry items such as axes, fishing sticks, etc. behind the pouch. Optimal attachment requires a width of four channels and a height of six (min. five) rows of PALS webbing. The compression straps on the side of the backpack, when put on, will prevent any movement of the backpack and its contents. Of our own packs, we recommend the 12L side bag only for the Jääkäri XL. While this is not recommended, you can also make the bag suitable for smaller bags with an absolute minimum of six rows of PALS webbing on the sides, by attaching the bag a step higher and accepting that the bottom becomes a little limp. Examples of use With a capacity of twelve liters, this is a very large side bag, the PALS attachment is five channels wide. Best used on large and high backpacks of 70-100+ liters. Optimal attachment requires a width of four channels and a height of six (min. five) rows of PALS webbing. The compression straps on the side of the backpack, when put on, will prevent any movement of the backpack and its contents. The 6-litre side bag fits all our Jääkäri backpacks. For backpacks with less than six rows of PALS webbing on the sides, the bottom of the bag "hangs". You can have this absorbed by the compression straps on the sides, or you can choose to attach the pouch one step higher to the side of the backpack. DETAILED DESCRIPTION The sauna has been a central and respected place in Finnish life for centuries, a place of birth and death, life and celebration. The word "hiisi" is old Finnish for a sacred place, a place of sacrifice or mystical power - the perfect family name for our sauna tents and accessories. The Hiisi 2 is a renewed design based on the old Hikimaja. The tent itself is actually a box with a sloping roof, not a center post. The corner poles are put into tubes on the outside of the tent, so that it is less crowded inside. The ceiling and wall materials are fire retardant for safety, but not fireproof, so sparks and flames will burn holes in them, so be careful. The interior is large enough for a double sofa, two people and the stove. The stove is placed in the far right corner, as seen from the entrance. The sofa is placed against the left wall, under the window. The window along the top edge of the sofa wall provides some light and a chance to look outside. The entrance is a simple zippered slot. A piece of cord is attached to the ceiling seam of the back wall, this is an attachment point for a sauna thermometer to help you monitor the temperature and not overheat the tent. The tent, poles and stakes can be neatly transported in a carrying case. Shoulder straps make it possible to carry a backpack and free up your hands for stoves or other accessories.
INSTRUCTIONS - READ BEFORE USE! We recommend two to four people to set up the Hiisi 2. You need a hammer or something similar to hit the poles in the ground. We recommend using a sauna thermometer up to 100°C to prevent overheating and help you get the perfect temperature. 1. Find a suitable flat spot approx. 3.5 x 3.5 m, beware of dangers:

Dry grass and undergrowth, trees and branches (fire hazard).

Uneven surface (stove or users may stumble and fall).

2. Unpack the tent canvas and insert the corner poles into the covers. 3. Spread the tent cloth with the poles approximately where you want it. 4. Aim one or two opposite corners at once:

Hammer a pole into the ground approx. 140/160 cm (wall height) from the corner.

Attach the corner guy line with a reliable knot to the pole.

Repeat until all the corners are in place and each shaving cord is fastened to the ground.

5. Inspect the tent, correct if necessary by adjusting the poles, poles and ropes. 6. Install the stove and the sofa. 7. If necessary, attach a sauna thermometer up to 100°C to the line hanging from the ceiling.

The thermometer should hang 140 cm above the ground.

8. Do not heat the interior above 75 ° C, extreme overheating can damage the tent and is unnecessary - it is steam that makes the sauna pleasant, not hot air. 9. Enjoy (with caution)! Savotta sauna tents are not designed for long-term stationary use and must be disassembled, cleaned, dried and stored indoors between uses. Sunlight will damage the substances over time. If you leave a tent upright for a few months, it will damage and any damage resulting from this type of abuse is not covered by our warranty.

To prevent damage to the tent from falling sparks, the chimney top should protrude 100 cm above the chimney gate. We recommend burning hardwood to minimize the risk of sparks.

Although the fabrics are fire retardant and self-extinguishing, they are not refractory - sparks and flames will damage the substance and burn holes in the fabric. Heater-heated tents will suffer from burnt holes due to sparks that touch the fabric during normal use. This is normal wear and tear and can be easily repaired if necessary. Our warranty does not cover fire damage due to normal or incorrect use.

Only use stones intended for sauna use. Improper stones, when heated, can crack and cause injuries from flying shrapnel.

The HAWU is a highly customizable security system designed for long-term use. It is perfect for the most demanding environments, also for military use all year round. Designed for versatility and adaptability, the HAWU is highly flexible when it comes to finding a suitable place to set up. This requires very few accessories. The core of its flexibility are the zippers that connect the tent parts together and allow them to be distributed and placed around tree trunks.
The door is designed so that you step into the tent instead of crawling under a low side entrance. A freely hanging inner wall prevents the warm air from escaping from the tent when the zippered door is opened. A useful function if someone has to keep watch at the same time and look at the lit heater.
There is a steel oven tube opening with a hinged lid between the door and the top of the front part. This design provides safety when using an oven for heating. If no oven is used, the folding cover closes the connection from the outside.
The side zippers provide a quick way out, especially during military operations or in case of emergency. The zippers and their rolled-up outer cover allow for a very fast emergency exit - open the zipper a little from top to bottom and just push yourself through!
The top of the tent is made of excess fabric that can be used to cover the top when a center stick is used. The tip can be left completely open or left open only on one side, depending on the wind direction, which regulates the ventilation and evaporation of moisture, depending on the conditions. When using an oven, it is advisable to keep the tip open so that the warm air can drain moisture.
HAWU tents are standard made of a naturally fire retardant and breathable fabric that has been treated against mold resistance. The fibers in the fabric swell when wet to ensure effective sealing against rain without the need for waterproof and poorly breathable coatings. For large orders, such as procurement by the military and government agencies, we can, and we have done so in the past, make the HAWU from other substances specified by the customer. CONSTRUCTION POSSIBILITIES
The split design offers flexibility in both transport and assembly. Thanks to the numerous mounting methods, the HAWU can be set up practically anywhere, which minimizes the time and effort required to find the perfect location. Around a tree: The halves can be mounted around a tree trunk, so there is no need to wear or manufacture separate center posts on site. Another advantage of this method is camouflage, where the treetops provide excellent camouflage for aerial exploration. Hanging: Instead of using a central support, trunk or pole, the HAWU can be hung on a rope between two trees. This creates space in the tent for more people or to set up equipment for maintenance and work. With a central pole: the usual old-fashioned way also works with the HAWU. For this we offer specially made telescopic mid-sticks. Side parts: The two halves of the HAWU can be used separately as smaller open protective sails. This allows a larger team to split up and take half the tent with them.
Due to the smart design of the corner sheath lines, no corner poles are needed. Just cut the lines or tie them around a rock or tree and pull on the quick belt adjusters to adjust the tension, and you're done. The lack of corner bars also means that there are far fewer separate components to maintain and move, which is a big advantage in suboptimal environments and under stress. As such, herrings are not strictly necessary, but are recommended. Although the shaving lines can be attached to the terrain and vegetation, this is not always possible. The corners of the hem should also be attached to the floor for a safe seal. The HAWU tent does not contain pegs, but we offer these as a separate accessory.
The upper loops and the carabiner mounting system that secures the top of the tent make it possible to set up the HAWU with a standard center pole to attach a tree or hang it at the top. THE HAWU STORY The origins of Hawu tents go back to 1993 when Pasi Ylirisku, the current CEO of Hawu Pro Oy, and his staff began developing a new tent design. For more than two decades, they have tested and improved the Hawu tent to perfection with great attention to detail. In 2016, Finn-Savotta Oy and Hawu Pro Oy signed a cooperation agreement. The design of the Hawu tent was completed in collaboration with Savotta's designers and Hawu's original mass production design and development team. The first batch, which was completed in autumn 2017 and put up for sale.

The inside of the lid is equipped with strips loop for attaching accessories with a hook back. The D-rings are also the fastening points for the optional padded shoulder straps. MODULAR AND CUSTOMIZABLE The loop strips in the main compartment and side compartment cover are suitable for various hook-to-loop fastenable accessories, pockets and organizers. This allows you to customize your bag to your preferences, or build it into a specialized toolbox for whatever work you need it. The foam filling with closed cells on the inside of the zippered lid and the bottom of the bag can be easily removed, replaced or reinforced. This allows the end user to easily adjust the bag with extra padding or plastic inserts if that extra level of protection or padding is required. The Keikka series bags can use an optional (separately available), padded clickable backpack harness. While carrying the backpack, the foam filling with closed cells on the inside of the lid provides a basic level of comfort against your back, even if you carry annoying mess in the bag. When a backpack with a bag like this should be as uncomfortable as possible, let's face it - this will never be as comfortable as a real backpack. Instead of building our bags with unergonomic, too long handles that also serve as shoulder straps, we've decided to make this a separate option for those who really need it, so we can build each carrying option in the right way for the intended feature. MILITARY GRADE MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION The bags from the Keikka series are made to last. The carrier handles are made of a single length of 50 mm wide band that wraps around the bottom of the bag, sandwiched between two layers of 1000D Cordura. Stress points are reinforced with double stitching and seams are finished with binding tape to prevent fraying. All carrier buckps are made of steel and are likely to last longer than the rest of the bag. Most of the materials we use for our commercial production are the same ones we use in equipment for the Finnish Armed Forces and other defence and security customers. Our most commonly used fabric in load carriers is extremely wear-resistant 1000D Cordura, according to FDF specifications, with polyurethane coating on the inside. The webbing and edge band we use are, again according to the FDF specifications, strong polyester band in different widths and thicknesses for different applications. Our green and M05 camouflage materials and accessories meet the strict FDF specifications for NIR reflection levels as they should be, as the same materials are used in official military equipment. PROPER RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION We manufacture the vast majority of our products ourselves in our own factories in Karstula, Finland and Tartu, Estonia. Product development and special production phases such as laser cutting and metalworking take place in our main facility in Finland, the cutting and sewing of textiles takes place both in Finland and in Estonia. Here at Savotta we do not dream of low labour costs, but we work constantly hard to keep the production in our own hands! LEARN FINNISH WITH SAVOTTA In Finland we have something like "keikka", like at a gig (concert), business trip or burglary.
