Viita socks are truly functional, technical hiking socks knitted with a 4-layer construction. The Viita socks are a shorter starched version of the Vaaru socks. The seamless toe prevents chafing and unpleasant nicks on the foot. In addition to bamboo viscose, the socks are made of merino wool for breathability and extra softness. The ankle-length socks do not pinch the feet, but feel flexible and comfortable. A lightweight drawcord on the foot improves the fit of the socks and keeps them in place better. The multi-layer construction makes optimal use of the properties of the materials incorporated in the socks. The materials are arranged with wool against the skin and on the outer layer, and polypropylene and bamboo viscose in between. Hiking socks made of bamboo viscose are an excellent choice for hikes in the mid-seasons and in the summer. The wool terry sole makes your steps soft, even on the most challenging terrain. Although they are thick, these socks can be worn well in warmer weather. The naturally antibacterial merino wool won’t smell, even if your feet sweat a little in the socks. It’s also breathable, so it’s at its best all year round. Bamboo viscose, on the other hand, is very soft, but also absorbs moisture well to keep your feet dry. Polypropylene has excellent moisture-wicking properties and is therefore used in the layers closest to the skin. This product is also made in Sukkamestare’s own factory in Ylöjärvi, Finland, with 100% Finnish labor.
