The K19 is the ultimate modern plate carrier. Designed, tested and proven in battle in Israel and behind enemy lines with some of the IDF's most elite units. The K19 has many subtle but revolutionary features that no other plate carrier has.
When it comes to the belly band, we have thought of everything. Many modern plate carriers now use quick release mechanisms, but they always come at the expense of not being able to easily adjust the fit.
The K19 uses our Egress™ Quick-release system and patented Fast-Adjust™ Cummerbund that can be adjusted and refined by the wearer in real time.
Getting the perfect fit can depend on your specific mission gear, what you're wearing underneath (which can change halfway through the mission), or even how much you ate for lunch. We know that the ability to customize it yourself, on-the-fly, is critical to avoid unnecessary fatigue and impaired combat awareness.
The K19 has a one-size-fits-all belly band and multi-size plate bag, eliminating the need to make complicated and risky size choices when buying. You know it will always suit you or members of your team, regardless of your gear or mission set. This is also important for procurement professionals who can be sure that it is a good fit for all their boys (or girls).
The quick-adjustable belly strap also has a built-in stretch element that allows the vest to be pulled nice and tight so it doesn't bounce when you run, but that gives you that inch or so of stretch needed when you fall on a knee so the wearer doesn't flatten their torso.
The latest version of the K19 is also compatible with placard, with both upper attachment points and a new laser-cut loop overlay.
This new layer gives you the best of all worlds. It allows you to either directly add velcro placards, or use the mil spec, bartacked molle underneath to attach ordinary molle bags.
Unlike other carriers, the quick-release fasteners in the shoulder area are placed far back so they don't interfere with your rifle stock and are still easily accessible.
When it comes to comfort, the K19 shares many of the comfort features of the battle-proven Agilite K5, which is considered the most comfortable plate carrier on the market.
Such comfort features include a generous melting foam shoulder pad for extreme comfort even with prolonged use. Anyone who has spent time in the military knows that even the shortest missions can culminate in multiple day operations. Comfort is not a luxury, it is a necessity to stay alert and not be distracted in hostile environments where complacency can cost you your life.
One of the secrets of the K19's comfort level is that the shoulder straps create a patented "V" shape for the mass that distributes the weight over the maximum surface and relieves the pressure points.
The back of the K19 plate bags has a triple layer of low-profile fusion foam to stay comfortable even when using the K19 with hardened steel or ceramic armor plates. Steel or ceramic plates often have hard corners and edges that can dig into your hull when using regular plate carriers, but the K19 has inherent padding to prevent this.
The K19 is also compatible with the Agilite K-series, which means it has the ability to attach the AMAP III Assault package directly to it within seconds. No getting MOLLE, no hassle.
At the back, the belly strap has numerous attachment points for the mil-spec G hooks, allowing a perfect fit for everyone, from the largest to the smallest person, without making the plate carrier unnecessarily large or prohibitively small.
The K19 has grown from the front lines of the Israeli Special Forces to one of the best-selling plate carriers in the US.
