• Savotta Rolltop Stuffsack mesh

    20,9034,90
Somewhat transparent, totally non-waterproof and just neat in many ways, these packing bags are made of a strong mesh fabric. Designed to store, transport and organize all kinds of equipment and items. Because they are made of a mesh fabric, they work very differently from most packaging bags and offer very different functions. There are things in this world that you don't want to pack, transport or store tightly in water or air, mesh does just that. As a bonus mesh, you can see through it, which helps identify the contents of each bag if you have a bunch of these with different gears. Use cases: - By putting wet equipment in it, the mesh allows the contents to dry out. - Clear color coding of your spare clothing in your bag or backpack. - Storage of equipment that you want to "breathe". A classic retro backpack for a hunter; the design has remained unchanged since the 1950s. After making something that works once, why fix the design if it is not broken! Just as great for hunting, camping and the city today as it was 60 years ago.
Due to its size, the 323 saddle sack is ideal for one or two day hunting trips: the backpack holds the necessary overnight equipment, provisions and other useful gadgets and tools comfortably. Once upon a time when men were made of steel and women as tough as nails, you could survive for weeks just with the saddle sack (or months, if you ask remote patrollers who served in wars), sleeping in the wilderness and eating what nature has to offer. Although the needs of a modern camper are different, a good backpack design is still a good backpack design. The traditional saddle sack is as fine a carrying device as it ever was, and it has the sort of a romantic retro vibe that you just cannot find in contemporary backpacks.

    COMPARTMENTS

The main compartment of the bag (dimensions approximately 45 x 35 x 25 cm) is closed by tightening the opening which is covered with a flap that can be secured with leather straps. The straps are long enough to attach, for example, a rolled sleeping mat or blanket under the flap. If necessary, additional detachable straps can be used to lengthen the straps. The size of the main compartment of the backpack is large enough to fit even a heavy winter sleeping bag inside. The side pockets (dimensions approximately 33 x 10 x 6 cm) are closed with fitted flaps with good coverage and secured with leather straps. The side pockets are ideal for packing large Thermos flasks and other cumbersome, long supplies. The back pocket (dimensions approximately 20 x 30 x 6 cm) is closed with a flap equipped with two leather straps. You can pack plenty of small supplies into the generously sized outer pocket for quick and easy Access.

    OTHER ATTACHMENT POINTS

There are attachment loops on the sides of the opening for detachable straps. By using straps, it is possible to attach long rolls, such as a blanket or a sleeping mat, securely on top of the bag. Ensure sturdy attachment by closing the flap of the bag over the roll.

    CARRYING SYSTEM

A special feature of the saddle sack is its steel pipe frame which enables steady and comfortable carrying. The sturdy frame holds the bag firmly in shape and the horizontal leather strap stretched across the lower part of the frame sits comfortably against your lower back, keeping the bag itself from touching your back. The shoulder straps are wide leather straps, the length of which can be adjusted with buckles. Because of the steel pipe frame, it is much more comfortable to carry the saddle sack than a frameless backpack, particularly over long distances and with a heavy load.

  • Savotta Side pouch 12L

    54,9064,90
Really nothing special, but exactly what you need for a side pocket on your backpack. The zipper is covered for extra water repellency and protection against wear and dirt. The vertical webbings on the front keep the compression straps of your backpack neatly in place over the pouch, so that they can also compress the pouch well. These can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners, and things like that. A 25 mm webbing loop and D-ring on the top of the rear inner wall make it possible to secure small and important items, the flat rear compartment provides rudimentary organization for smaller items. The bottom and the lower half of the sides are lined with 210D polyamide for extra wear resistance. A through-through opening allows for the drainage of water that could seep into the bag. The back is equipped with our standard PALS fastening web belt system with folding tabs. The middle horizontal rows were omitted because they didn't really do anything other than add weight. We are not a manufacturer of ultra-light stuff, but even we do not like unnecessary weight. The two vertical fastening straps leave an approx. 9 cm wide gap, so you can carry items such as axes, fishing sticks, etc. behind the pouch. Optimal attachment requires a width of four channels and a height of six (min. five) rows of PALS webbing. The compression straps on the side of the backpack, when put on, will prevent any movement of the backpack and its contents. Of our own packs, we recommend the 12L side bag only for the Jääkäri XL. While this is not recommended, you can also make the bag suitable for smaller bags with an absolute minimum of six rows of PALS webbing on the sides, by attaching the bag a step higher and accepting that the bottom becomes a little limp. Examples of use With a capacity of twelve liters, this is a very large side bag, the PALS attachment is five channels wide. Best used on large and high backpacks of 70-100+ liters. Here are some examples of what will fit in such a bag:
    • A tarp, hammock, duvet and accessories.
    • A lightweight puff coat, pants and rainwear
    • A Trangia 27 series stove, fuel, water and lots of stuff to cook.
    • A Jetboil cooker, a few gas cartridges, water and lots of cooking utensils.
    • A few days of rations and snacks

You can have this absorbed by the compression straps on the sides, or you can choose to attach the pouch one step higher to the side of the backpack. TENT REPAIR KIT The tent repair kit is suitable for repairing tents made of both cotton and cotton mix. The repair patches are fireproof pieces of cotton mix. The kit contains approximately 90 round spots for tents with a diameter of 5 cm and 6 cm, 2 pieces of 40 × 50 cm, 35 ml repair glue and instructions. The patches are intended for cotton mix fire-resistant tents, but they can also be used to repair non-fire-resistant tents. Perform repairs in a well-ventilated area. The glue irritates eyes and skin. The damaged area must be dry and clean from grease or dirt. Divide the glue on to the damaged area and the patch with a brush or spatula. Allow the glue to dry for 5-15 minutes, depending on the air temperature and relative humidity. Press the patch on the damaged area. Squeeze with your hands into the repaired area and make sure that the patch is securely secured by, for example, lightly beating with a rubber hammer. Note! The patch cannot be moved after repair. The glue is immediately firmly secured and the final fixation is reached after 7 days. Beware of glue stains, as the glue can only be removed after drying with acetone or a similar solvent. You should observe the effect of the solvent on the substance when using solvents. If you get glue on your skin, wash it off with soap and hot water. If you get glue in your eye, rinse immediately with plenty of hot water and seek medical attention. Seek medical attention immediately if you have swallowed the substance. Keep the glue out of reach of children. KEY FLAG PRODUCT This product is manufactured at our factory in Karstula, Finland.

    Savotta TORRAKKO

    165,00189,00
A rifle backpack for a hunter which also meets the requirements for the transport of a firearm thanks to a new rain cover. It works both while hunting and on the way there. The robust and padded rifle compartment can accommodate a rifle with a larger scope as well. The whole package can be tightened sturdily with the compression straps of the bag, making carrying a firearm both comfortable and safe in any terrain. The slim design of Torrakko facilitates moving around in off-road conditions. The thinly padded shoulder straps make shooting while the backpack is on your back easy. The streamlined package has been designed to be as practical as possible. Torrakko has no extra protruding or entangling parts.

    COMPARTMENTS

The bag (dimensions approximately 45 x 25 x 15 cm) is closed by tightening the drawstring opening which is covered with a protective flap that is secured with buckled straps. The main compartment opens also with two zippers spanning the full length the sides. If these are opened, the entire back of the backpack opens up, making all contents of the backpack very conveniently accessible. The bag can be tightened into a snug package by using the compression straps on the sides. There is a flat, zippered mesh pocket (dimensions approximately 20 x 20 cm) inside the flap where the game pouch of Torrakko is kept by default. The pocket is also ideal for other small items. The bottom of the backpack has a flat pocket which closes with Velcro (dimensions approximately 12 x 20 cm) where the rain cover of Torrakko is kept by default. The game pouch (dimensions approximately 35 x 35 cm) is a bag made of netted fabric with an opening that can be tightened using a drawstring. The game pouch is attached to the back of the backpack with four strap loops which are attached to the compression straps of the backpack. The rifle compartment of Torrakko (dimensions approximately 85 x 25 x 9 cm) is located between the bag and your back. It is open at the top and tapers towards the bottom for the barrel. The rifle can be secured tightly for carrying by using the compression straps of the backpack. The new rain cover covers the entire backpack and also the butt of the firearm which would otherwise remain exposed from the rifle compartment. The rain cover is fastened around the firearm with a zipper and a buckle. So with the rain cover in place, Torrakko is a legal firearm carrying case also in public places as well as in the car. You will no longer have to transport your firearm in a separate bag from which it is then transferred into a backpack. Your rifle can ride from home into the forest, during hunting and back again inside Torrakko.

    OTHER ATTACHMENT POINTS

Extra supplies that would not otherwise fit inside the backpack can be tied conveniently to the buckled compression straps on the sides. Rain capes and break clothing, for example, travel with you conveniently and readily available on the sides of the backpack.

    CARRYING SYSTEM

The back, shoulder straps and hip belt of the rifle carrying device are all lightly padded. There is plenty of room for adjustment in both the shoulder straps and the hip belt. The back of backpack has been reinforced with an internal plastic sheet. The padding pillows galore on the back make carrying comfortable.
