MMPS - Multi Mission Pack System Berghaus' latest invention in the field of backpacks is the MMPS system. Developed in consultation with experts from the field, the Vulcan and Crusader backpacks were developed along with a number of useful extensions. For example, the Multi Mission Pack System (or MMPS) offers great flexibility and choice. The system makes it possible to adapt your backpack to the wishes you have for your trip. For example, it is possible to put together a backpack from 10 to 120 liters! But there are also a number of useful accessories to connect with all models of the MMPS system, such as a hydration pack. To explain how the MMPS system works, we would like to give you an example of a number of possible combinations with this backpack! By default with this model you have:

a daypack of 20 liters (the 2 side pockets together)

a larger backpack of 80 liters

or a 100 liter backpack (2 side pockets + the backpack itself)

If you buy an MMPS Organiser Pocket, you suddenly have a handy side pocket where you can, for example, store your first aid equipment, navigation or camera and take it loose as a daypack. If you prefer more flexible storage space: choose the MMPS Large Side Pockets of 15 liters each, (can be combined into a daypack of 30 liters) or opt for extra standard MMPS Side Pockets of 10 liters each. These can be linked to this daypack. The MMPS system becomes completely flexible if you purchase an MMPS Centurio daypack of 30 or 45 liters. With 2 backpacks you already have a complete line that is suitable for every situation! At first glance, the Hatka 12L may seem like just a roller bag with shoulder straps, but when you look closer, you'll see that there's actually a lot going on. This design was conceived as part of a special military carrying system, which required a small daypack that could be easily attached to a larger backpack. On the outside are four rows of PALS weaving tapes. These can be used for attaching pouches, bungee cords, and buckles to quickly attach or detach the Hatka to a larger backpack. The four webbing loops at the bottom can be used for elastic cords, so you can carry items under the backpack. Two long internal compartments are there to organize smaller items, and the D-ring provides a point to store small valuables. The large external pocket against your back is large enough for a hydration reservoir or tarp. The simple 25mm webbing shoulder straps are attached to D-rings and completely removable, and therefore also replaceable with padded shoulder straps if you wish. TRICKS AND MODULARITY Clip and tie it to a larger backpack for use as a "grab and go" daypack. You can do this by tucking it under the flap or by using packing straps. The really great way is to attach the Hatka to the side compression or lid straps using G-hooks or PALS mounted SR buckles. You'll need four of them to securely attach the Hatka 12L to the back of your Jääkäri M, L or XL. Please note that these attachment buckles ARE NOT INCLUDED with the backpack. If you need to, you can add a lot of stuff to the outside of this otherwise quite small backpack. The PALS webbing allows you to attach bags, but you can also thread bungee cords to it (along with the four webbing loops at the bottom) for rain gear, tarpaulins etc. Because the Hatka is in many ways a spiritual successor to the venerable 202 daypack, it also has very rudimentary shoulder straps. This reduces weight and bulk, which is great if you're strapping it to a larger backpack. If you need to, you can easily replace it with more advanced padded options. Although there aren't too many compartments, you can still make good use of them if you pack smartly. Of course, you can put your large items in the main compartment, and the two small inner compartments can hold all kinds of small items and even water bottles. The D-ring can be used to clamp or tie small valuables. COMPARTMENTS

The main compartment of the Backpack (dimensions about 42 x 27 x 15 cm) is closed with a two-way zipper. The inside is without any additional compartments so even special and large items can fit in. Packing smartly is wise; for instance, folding one’s change of clothes and putting them against the back. This way, the Backpack would function as a back cushion. The outer pocket (measures about 15 x 23 x 5 cm) is closed with a zipper. It is convenient for smaller items which might be needed quickly.

Run-up / closure in the main compartment keeps snow and dirt out. 4 MOLLE straps at the back of the package, where more bags can be attached. Velcro for identification patch. Band and elastic band for microphone for the section radio. Roll up the ends of all the straps to keep them tight.
