KEVYT RAJAPARTIO The daypack, originally designed for the Finnish Border Guard and also known as the Kevyt Rajapartio, is compact, simple and very versatile. Due to its slim shape, the backpack does not stand in the way even in tight spaces and is ideal for skiing and hunting. In its size category, the Kevyt Rajapartio is an unusually sturdy backpack to carry. The aluminium-reinforced internal support frame keeps the backpack in strong shape even when heavy loads. With the compression straps of the bag, even a backpack that is not full can be put on so that it sits firmly and does not rock. Compartments The bag (approximately 50 x 25 x 10-20 cm dimensions) is closed by tightening the drawstring opening secured with a waterproof protective collar that also allows overfrapping. The opening is covered with a flap that encloses the top of the backpack and is fastened with straps. The generous length of the tyres offers a lot of space under the flap for overpackaging. The contents of the upper compartment can also be accessed quickly from the right side via a vertical zipper that runs over the full height of the backpack. Against the back in the bag is a pocket the size of the entire back for the supporting frame of the backpack. The compartment is also ideal for carrying, for example, a drinking bag or other flat items. In the bag is a holder for a thermos so you can always find it where it belongs. With the four compression straps on the sides of the backpack, the bag can be tightened compactly even when it is not full. The flap of the bag has a flat pocket with zipper for small items (size about 20 x 20 cm). OTHER ANCHORAGES On the flap at the back of the backpack and at the bottom of the bag you will find attachment loops to carry a rifle. The loops are also equally suitable for transporting other exceptionally long devices. The load is secured by donting a strap that circles the entire backpack. It is also possible to attach items that would not otherwise fit in the backpack behind the compression straps of the bag. The bottom of the backpack has four fastening loops for detachable straps. Binding to the bottom is an excellent method of wearing for, for example, coiled sleeping mats. On both sides of the lap belt there are fastening loops to attach small items. SUPPORT SYSTEM The wide, anatomically shaped, sturdy shoulder straps and the well-padded hip belt ensure supported and comfortable wearing. The hip belt buckle can be quickly detached with one hand, which is a very valuable feature in a possible emergency. The buckle collar provides extra comfort and support when wearing. With the support on the top, the backpack is also easy to carry by hand. The back is reinforced with a very durable frame of plastic plate to which two vertical aluminum rods with rivets are attached. This lightweight frame keeps the backpack upright and can also be carried comfortably with a heavier load. The support frame can also be removed from the backpack if desired. The generous and sturdy cushions against the back are a rarity in a backpack of this size category and make the Kevyt Rajapartio a surprisingly comfortable small backpack to carry. This backpack is designed to carry extremely heavy loads, just as its military predecessors have been since the early 1980s. With the roll top at the top, the zipper at the bottom and a drawstring distributor on the inside, you can use the main pocket in any way you want. By opening the distributor, the main pocket turns into a huge hollow space, allowing you to pack very large and long items. The zipper at the bottom provides quick access to all the gear you need most during the day, while the roll top provides weatherproof protection for most of your gear. The lower zippered compartment features elastic compression straps on the inside and four small mesh pockets to organize your gear. A zippered pocket on the inside of the lid provides secure storage for your wallet, keys, travel documents and phone. The length adjustable lap belt and shoulder belt can be moved both up and down the frame to be suitable for users with a length of 160-200 cm. The external LJK tubular aluminium frame ensures that the backpack does not hang and transfers the weight of the backpack to your hips, even when loaded with heavy and cumbersome load. Made of 500D Cordura instead of regular garment fabric for high abrasion resistance. Unlike most high-cut helmet covers, which only have that zigzag cord at the top, our cover has elastic cord attachment points around the helmet shell. This allows you to camouflage your helmet well with foliage and the like. Because the elastic cord is not sewn to the cover, you can choose not to use it at all or to adjust or replace it as needed. The back of the case features a piece of 25mm webbing, with bartacked mounting points for IR strobes and the like. Then we have the standard loops on the sides, top and back for identifiers, patches, cameras, pockets for counterweight etc. The cover is attached via six pieces of one-wrap to pieces of hook on the inside of the helmet shell. If your specific helmet doesn't have pieces of hook exactly where it needs to: that's why we supply a piece of self-adhesive hook of 50 x 150 mm with every cover! SIZE, FIT AND COMPATIBILITY The sizes are matched to the Ops-Core FAST helmet sizes. A cover in size L fits a helmet in size L, a cover in size XL fits on a helmet shell in size XL. At the moment we don't offer M or XXL size covers, but L size covers fit M size shells (and XL size covers also fit L size shells) with the elastic cord as a kind of size adjustment system. Don't forget that each cover comes with a piece of adhesive hook tape, use this to create suitable attachment points in your helmet for the attachment straps! With the elastic cord that surrounds the helmet, you can tighten and shape the case to better fit the contours of helmet shells of different shapes and sizes. In addition to the perfect match, the Ops-Core FAST XP, we also tested the fit on a number of other common helmet designs:

Ops-Core FAST SF (super high cut): fits pretty nicely after some tweaking

UaRms TOR-D (slightly thicker helmet shell than Ops-Core): fits very well

Galvion Caiman ballistic (very different shape): fits quite well after some adjustments

PGD ARCH (old generation, Ops-Core XP shell geometry): fits very nicely

PGD ARCH/MICH (current (2023) gen): Fits, but NVD bungees and rear rail screws end up under the cover*.

*The current-generation PGD ARCH/MICH helmet rails are covered by the visor at the front and rear. This blocks access to the rear rail screws (NVD ballast bag attachment) and the NVD bungee cords at the front of the rails. You can easily customize the cover by carefully cutting small holes (and burning them gently to avoid fraying) for the bungees and screws. Changes to the cover are of course at your own risk!
