The MoG Abseil/Rappel gloves have been developed in collaboration with various dedicated users and specialists in tactical rope training and altitude work instructors.
The result is a slim fit abseil/rappel glove that allows the user to walk smoothly on the rope thanks to a number of distinctive features:
- Palm made of soft goatskin and durable split leather, with a very high abrasion resistance (level 4, or more than 8000 cycles according to the Martindale test!) and excellent dexterity (level 5).
- The glove offers basic protection against heat and is certified according to EN407 – Contact heat. (level 1).
- Slim finger design for good control when rigging and to enable activities such as rigging, climbing structures and ladders, vertical movements, etc.
- The fingertips of the index finger and thumb are touch-sensitive to the manipulation of touch-screen devices.
- The reinforced zones provide an extra layer of protection against abrasion and perforations.
- The back of the hand is made of a 4-way stretch fabric that is breathable and comfortable.
- Part of the knuckle area is provided with a neoprene patch to protect the knuckles from accidental bumps during ropes or climbing.
- Comfortable neoprene cuff that gives the wrist freedom of movement and basic protection against bumps.
- Integrated leather-reinforced hole in cuff for easy attachment of carabiners or gloves to belts, plate racks or bags, or to facilitate donning and doffing.
- Strong Velcro closure with large flap for adjustable fit and easy on and off.
- An ID label is sewn into the glove for easy personal identification of the glove for safety and hygiene purposes.
- The MoG Abseil/Rappel 9162 is currently available in full black (in stock) and Coyote Brown (on request).

- The glove is certified according to EN 388 and EN 407 standards for mechanical protection and for protection against contact heat respectively.
