The water-repellent treatments are PFAS-free, as is the waterproof Gore-Tex lining made of ePE. The two densities of the wedge and the tread are formed together to reduce the use of glue. The EVA used is partly of biological origin. The tread is made of partially recycled rubber with an asymmetrical design that is synchronized with the AKU Elica Natural Stride System, which promotes biodynamic efficiency. The inner part of the forefoot has an increased nose density to promote grip on e-bike pedals.
