JÄÄKÄRI L The larger multi-day package of the Jääkäri family, capacity approximately 55 liters. Based on the Border Patrol backpack originally designed for the Finnish Border Patrol in the 1980s. Big enough for multi-day walks, but compressable to a compact day package if necessary. The PALS attachment system provides excellent scalability to the outside when you need it. Thanks to the generously padded, thermoformed shoulder belts and lap belt in combination with an internal tubular aluminium frame, the Jääkäri L can comfortably carry heavy loads. By opening the distributor, the main pocket is changed into a large hollow space. The zipper at the bottom provides quick access to the equipment you need most during the day, while the roll top ensures weatherproof protection for most of your gear. A zippered box in the lid provides secure storage for your wallet, keys, travel documents and phone. The roll closure, the floating lid and the compression straps on the side offer a wide range of adaptability to the volume of the backpack. Tie it tightly or loosen it, depending on the load transported. The compression straps ensure that additional equipment can be attached to the outside of the backpack if necessary. A hydration compartment is attached to the inner wall. A central hydration tube port allows you to guide your hydration bladder tube from behind your neck to both shoulders. With PALS straps on the lap belt, sides, lid and bottom of the backpack, you can attach extra pockets and equipment. This system offers numerous options for configuring the package to meet your specific needs. But not only for pouches, the PALS webbing strap can also be used to belts, shock cords, carbine hooks etc. To confirm. The lap belt can be attached to the backpack via PALS webbing. It can be moved up or down to adjust the back length of the backpack and can be removed from the frame for use as a stand-alone strap for equipment. With matching bags you can use them instead of or in combination with a small day pack. SUPPORT SYSTEM An internal tubular aluminum frame ensures that the backpack does not sag and transfers the weight of the backpack to your hips, even when loaded with heavy and bulky cargo. Both the shoulder harness and the lap belt are generously padded with thermoformed foam filling with closed cells. The shoulder harness is S-shaped and has a detachable chest strap. The adjustment of the back length is done by moving the lap belt up or down over the backpack using PALS bands. The forward pull rape adjustment is easy to secure, even under load. The buckle on the side provides quick and easy opening when needed. CONNECTION OF THE FINNISH BORDER GUARD In the late 1980s, Savotta designed a new patrol package for the Finnish Border Patrol, simply called "Rajapartio" - Border Patrol. This was the first package of Savotta with an internal aluminum tube frame, a very simple design that turned out to be very good. The Border Patrol package is still being used by the Finnish Border Patrol at the time of writing in 2019, a testament to how specially designed designs do not work. However, materials and manufacturing technologies are evolving, as are end-users' needs. The Jääkäri L is in our opinion a worthy successor to its ancestor. -

The Jääkäri M is an improved model of the Light Border Patrol backpack, originally designed for the Finnish Border Patrol. The sleek design offers unhindered movement in tight spaces and difficult terrain. The PALS fastener offers many options for fitting extra pockets and equipment on the outside of the backpack. An internal plastic frame blade gives the backpack stiffness, while the compression straps help you tie your load up to a tight package. As part of the Border Guard heritage, the shoulder straps, the lap belt and the back lining are designed to be more comfortable to wear than most backpacks of this size. MILITARY GRADE MATERIALS Most of the materials we use for our commercial production are the same ones we use in equipment for the Finnish Armed Forces and other defense and security customers. Our most commonly used fabric in load carriers is extremely wear-resistant 1000D Cordura, according to FDF specifications, with polyurethane coating on the inside. The tires and edge tape we use are, again according to the FDF specifications, strong polyester bands in different widths and thicknesses for different applications. Our green and M05 camouflage materials and accessories meet the strict FDF specifications for NIR reflection levels as standard, as should be since the same materials are used in official military equipment. SUPPORT SYSTEM The Jääkäri M has an internal frame of plastic plate, giving it the necessary stiffness to stay upright when loaded with clumsy and bulky equipment. Both the shoulder harness and the lap belt are tightly filled with foam with closed cells. The shoulder harness is S-shaped and has a detachable chest strap. The forward-pulling lap belt is also easy to put on under load. The buckle on the side provides quick and easy opening when needed. The lap belt is equipped with an additional cushion for lower back support. CONNECTION OF FINNISH BORDER GUARD In the early 1990s, a compact Savotta walking backpack, simply called the "608", was chosen as the starting point for the design of a new day backpack for the Finnish Border Guard. This then changed to the 'Kevyt Rajapartio' or Lightweight Border Patrol backpack, a very modern backpack for its time: narrow design for mobility, side zipper, compression belts and rifle fastening. Most striking was a very sturdy carrying system and an aluminum reinforced frame - something you rarely see on packaging of its size. This venerable design was chosen in 2013 as the basis for the development of what would become the Jääkäri M, the first in the modern range of Savotta packs with a construction and functionality of military quality. This worked out very well and the Jääkäri M was followed by his siblings: the Jääkäri S, L and XL. -
30 years of experience in building large military backpacks. The main upgrade is the new "Herma" buckle, a buckle that is both brand and female in one buckle. That makes it possible to attach it wherever you want. No more searching for the right buckle to connect with. The depth of the backpack is small, but the width and lengths are long to carry what you need, but to be as close to your body as possible makes it easier to carry it. Shaped to sit nice and tight along the back. Stiff head hole and cut out in the lid so you can lean your head back when carrying the backpack. Shoulder pads are made of foam plastic and 1mm hard plastic for comfort and an even balance of weight. They have a chest strap and handset/microphone attachment. The sleeping bag compartment in the bottom of the backpack is also accessible through a U-shaped opening in the bottom of the backpack. This compartment is made variable in size so that a large sleeping bag fits in it. Two removable 11-litre side pockets with zippered opening on both sides that are accessible when you're on the backpack or in the tent. The side pockets can be connected as a backpack or worn separately. Top cover that can also be worn as a hip bag or small backpack. The top cover is designed to carry a spare sweater, mines, a drinking system, your administration book or something similar. 3L Zippered lid pocket for flashlights, spare batteries, insect repellent etc. Holder for a helmet, your poncho or something similar on top of the lid.
