The NiteCore NU25 is a versatile, rechargeable LED headlamp. It is very lightweight and offers three different light colours: white, red and neutral white. Due to its compact size, it can be used in many different ways. Whether you are camping, doing odd jobs, sports or hiking: with the NiteCore NU25 you can see what you are doing or where you need to go.
The housing is made of a solid and lightweight plastic. Including battery and excluding headband, the light weighs only 28 grams. That is really unprecedentedly little for a light with these functions! The NiteCore NU25 is simply USB rechargeable with the included micro-USB cable. As a result, you never have to fiddle with loose batteries.
Operation of the NiteCore NU25
The operation of the NiteCore NU25 is very simple. Two buttons on top: one for (neutral) white light, one for red light. By holding down the button for the white light for a moment, you arrive at the neutral white position.
NiteCore NU25: What is the difference between white and neutral white?
The neutral white LED has a high CRI value. This means that the light colour is very true to nature. Compared to many normal LED flashlights, this means that the light looks quite warm. At least that seems to be the case, because it is precisely the neutral white LED that is neutral (as the name suggests) and what we see nowadays as a normal LED flashlight bundle is actually very “cold” light. It is even called blue light. With a neutral white bundle, judging colors is a lot better to do. With a bluish light beam, it is extremely difficult to tell the difference between red and brown. Or between white and light blue. With a neutral white light beam you remove that problem and you just see the colors as they are.
