Gun Buckles

Kore Essentials offers a wide variety of heavy-duty ratchet buckles designed for use with our rifle belts. Buckles are made of a high-quality zinc alloy with a galvanized gunmetal, brass, nickel or black powder coating, or of solid stainless steel (X3 Buckle is nickel-free). The buckle mechanism features our Korean-designed and patented spring system that is durable, reliable, and won’t stick.

All gun buckles use 2 set screws (M4 x 7 mm length) and a row of teeth to secure the straps securely into the buckles. This improved system is extremely secure. A 2.5 mm Allen key is supplied with each buckle.

Choose one of our X-Series pistol buckles (1.5″ wide) or the stronger Garrison (1.75″ wide) styles. The only difference between the buckle models is the style and width – the functionality is identical.

EDC Leather & Tactical Gun Belts are 1.5″ wide and 5 mm thick, and designed for IWB, OWB and Appendix carry situations. EDC belts come in regular sizes (24″ to 54″) and XL sizes for a waist up to 72″. Please check the sizes when you order.

Garrison Leather and Tactical Belts are 1.75″ wide belts and designed for the shooting range, field trips, training, or law enforcement. Due to their width, they are not ideal for IWB or Appendix. Garrison belts come in one size to fit any waist from 24″ to 54″. Please check the sizes when you order.

Leather Turret Belts are made from 2 pieces of Buffalo Leather or Top Grain leather along the entire length and designed to carry loads up to a maximum of 6 pounds for Buffalo Leather and 4 pounds for Top Grain Leather (which is the total weight of the equipment). These belts are not designed to serve as tactical or duty belts, but rather EDC belts for work, play, clothing, casual.

Nylon tactical belts are stiffer and stiffer than our leather weapon belts and intended to carry heavier loads and more gear. Made from a Nylon Web outer layer (loadable up to 500 lbs.), reinforced Power-Core Center™ and Super-Fiber inner lining for added strength and durability. Tactical belts are designed for carrying holstered firearms or equipment up to a maximum of 10 pounds (total weight). Due to the stiffness of our tactical belts, they come with a Belt Keeper to keep the belt tip flush with your pants.

Please note:
Gun buckles and belts are NOT interchangeable with our classic fashion buckles or belts. EDC Gun belts are wider and thicker than our fashion belts.

Customizing 1.5″ EDC and 1.75″ Garrison belts

*These instructions are not for Dual Belt Systems. For combat belts, service belts, competition belts and Executive Protection Belts, please refer to these instructions.

1. Use the ruler markings on the back of the belt to find your trouser size.

2. Add 4 inches for OWB carry, or 6 inches for IWB carry to your trouser size. Cut on the mark with sharp scissors.

For example: If your pants size is 34 inches – cut the belt to 38 inches for OWB wear, or 40 inches for IWB wear.
If your pants size is close to the maximum size mark, DO NOT cut. Try the belt first and then trim it.3. Loosen the 2 set screws on the back of the buckle with the wrench provided. Insert the cut end of the strap into the holder with teeth.

4. Clamp the tines firmly and gently tighten the 2 set screws on the back of the buckle until they are flush. Use caution to ensure that the set screws are not over-tightened or loosened. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SET SCREWS UNTIL THE TEETH ARE FULLY CLAMPED.

5. Feed the belt around the waist (L to R), through the buckle and click until snug.

The end of the belt should extend about 5 inches past the first belt loop.
